Thanks, PJ. I'm 85-90 percent in the clear. It was the sickest I've ever been. Whatever you do, DO NOT get pneumonia.
I had bronchitis with the beginnings of pneumonia many moons ago, only shingles was worse. Glad you're about past it.

I suppose the only one who wants to win vs Bills I Mayo. It is frustrating to say that but loss in this game is more beneficial for us.

Just got back from visiting family in Brazil for the holidays. Was in the hospital one day, apparently some kind of flu. Antibiotics have helped. Still sick. But, not sure if this is all just related to Patriots' performance.

It was thirteen years ago that I got pneumonia for the only time. You are correct. I slept sitting down because I was afraid of not waking up. Eventually, it was a steroid which got me over the hump.

To me, there have been many dunces who have been successful head coaches in the NFL due to being surrounded by competent assistants and management.

In the Patriots' case, the malaise infecting the franchise has at its nucleus, the offensive coordinator position.

I had no problem whatsoever with Matt Patricia.

Bill O'Brien may be a wonderful guy, but he is utterly putrid as an OC.

AVP is not an upgrade.

Ultimately, it was Belichick's continuing to start Jones which got himself driven out of town.

The quote bubble is aimed at the wrong head.
Yep - just wanted to knock it out fast and switch to priority work-work. I can tweak it later if it's bothersome enough
[Edit: fixed!]

I was just reminiscing...

If we lose this week by, say, 31-0, think we could get Tom Jackson to give an encore performance of "They Hate Their Coach" ?

I don't think too many people would disagree...
Only difference is..this time it would be legitimate!

Unless Bob tells him he's safe, Mayo's in a really bad spot. If he loses to the Bills backups, that will be really embarrassing. If they end up beating the Bill's backups, that could drop them from the 1st overall pick to 5th. Mayo will be picking his poison.

If Maye is held out and other guys sit, I fear Mayo is returning. However, his leash will be very short in 2025.
I've said this all season long.. Mayo has the longest leash of them all.. the organization will stock pile picks and upgrade this terrible roster. With a much better roster all around and it if still looks this way next season I then believe mayo Is out.

The players will win one for Mayo. Or they'll be thinking about Turks & Caicos and Cancun.
After the fans booed Mayo and called for his departure, the Pats will go out and beat a Bills team sitting their starters.

Its the old the 2025 season starts now.

I still say we loose. Start Brissett to ensure this!

First off I hope your getting better and happy new years!. To your point yes the coordinator spots have been an issue all season. AVP who's has the most experience being a former play caller years ago is hampered by the OL as to what he can call. I shift my focus on Covington. He's a guy who's been here a position coach and yes the defense lost some of it best players however he still should have had the guys that are in to be better. I've never seen like this season a patriots defensive front being pushed around. I say Upgrade the roster and keep AVP at least though 1 more season. Adding a veteran coach on defense would also help Covington.

I had the shingles once. Holy crap!!! Who the hell thought up that torture ??
Amen to that - I didn't even realize until afterward what a bullet I'd dodged, and am grateful for how very little lasting damage was done.

Its too late.

The Pats began with a big win and will end with the big win.
You know what.. your probably right. So let's say Tennessee wins as well.. don't we still end up with the 1st pick as they did beat us.

I haven't kept up with all the scenarios.

I don't want more disappointment.

Yeah, like there's a gigantic difference between the first and second picks.
I do have to wonder if the Pats picked #1 overall last year if they would've gotten Caleb Williams. In that case, then the Pats obv would've been contending for a SB this year.

I shouldn't have to say it, but yes, this post is sarcasm.
