Local marketing rep. Not his agent, but they handle local appearances, etc. All players usually have them, some even work with the same one. Tom Brady, Adam Vinatieri, Tedy Bruschi, Lonie Paxton - way back when - all had the same one.

Really great that Hamlin's guy is in touch with them and could send out that update.

Umm.. It's highly unlikely that Hamlin sent out the update given that he was intubated.

The guy was problem with team officials and any family who had accompanied the team at the hospital when the Doctor(s) gave them an update.

Amen. I went from seeing a doc for the first time in over 10 years (because I was feeling totally rotten), to a call the next day telling me to go to the ER NOW!, to 8 days in cardiac care facing the potential multi-bypass or worse (the phrase transplant was used).

Now, if my MRI is good on Friday, I may get by with two stents. The third blockage is bypassing itself (blood vessels have grown around it). I saw the images - freaking amazing to see that the human body could do that.

Not trying to make this a me post - just trying to explain why I have faith in the med professionals out there. If there is any way to save Hamlin, they will.
Good luck man.

The poster you are responding to is useless. He’s a drive-by dislike machine addicted to fake empathy so that he can stand out from the crowd and get a few positive reactions on his post for some dopamine hits. Pay him no mind. There’s nothing wrong with what Bayless said. People are acting like Bayless posted “I hope he dies lololol.” They need to go outside and touch grass.
**** you *******.

The NFL is run by disgusting pieces of ...

Thanks - it is much appreciated.

And to everyone who liked / replied - it's a real boost. The odds are in my favor, and I plan on being here a while longer.

Prayers for a positive outcome.

Oh please. 5 minutes was probably standard protocol til they figured out the most appropriate response. I love the anti NFL bandwagon but give me a break with this "THEY ONLY GAVE THEM 5 MINUTES TO MOURN"

They did the standard 5 minute delay, realized the severity of the situation, and canceled the game. They arrived at the correct conclusion isn't that what's most important?

They were forced into it by the players and coaches. Forced into it.

I didn't realize that they performed CPR on Hamlin for so long.

Really surprised that the NFL had not prepared an emergency plan in the event of a critical injury like this.
It was very awkwardly handled regarding the "5 minutes to warm up" announcement. I believe they should have had contingency plans and communication mapped out. It is surprising that an incident like this has not happened before given the violent nature of the hits.

Fortunately, Damar received immediate defibrillation and CPR which can make the difference between life and death or between return to normal or brain damage. The duration of time without blood flow to the heart and brain is critical. It seems like the treatment in this situation may have been ideal in terms of speed of initiation. If its true his vitals are back to normal...I am hopeful that he has a shot at recovering with full capacity.
However, in the case of cardiac arrest nothing is guaranteed.
