They just gave palmer a massive contract, there is no way they can fit manning in under that cap. that would be something like 45 million in 2 qb's

Elway ought to at least explore the possibility of trading Manning and if that isn't feasible, loading up for one more run. This time though he should get a top quality backup QB or use a high draft pick on a QB so that when Manning wears down or needs to go on in season IR, his team doesn't go 0-8 in the interim.

I guess I can't see Denver simply releasing Manning except as a last resort. And I definitely can't see Manning retiring if he has a muscle tear that is easily rehabbed.
