I think we all need to reel in the overreaction; we have a 10-4 record and the inside track to the #2 seed in the AFC that is exactly where we stood last season at this juncture. This season we have done it in the face of more adversity than any team I can remember.

Some positives that came out of today are:

• Edelman has gone from good, to very good to excellent in the past few weeks. When I look at the way he plays the game now it is no longer like watching a player who is trying to put it all together and sometimes shows flashes of excellence, he has put it together and he gets better every week.
• Amendola played his best game in a Patriots uniform in my opinion and looked a lot quicker in his routes today.
• Hooman is back and healthy, he made a big play today and I would like to see him be included more in the offense.
• Ridley has played the last 2 games without having any fumbling or ball security issues.
• Josh Boyce (hopefully his injury is minor) had another very good game today that 30 yard connection with Brady in the third was one of the best plays if not the best of the day.
• Talib, Dennard and Gregory all appear to be getting healthier.
• Siliga played well again today and he could give us the size we’ve been missing since Wilfork went down, we held the Dolphins to just 89 yards on 23 carries today (13 of which came on an end around by Wallace).
• We did not have a turnover all day until the final play.

We have a lot to be happy with ladies and gentlemen, once again we played down to the final play how many other teams in the NFL can you say have done that each and every week that they’ve taken the field?

Today was a pretty good game. I think what's hard it expecting to convert Tds with al your receivers that are hovering at 6' tall. We really missed Dobson and KT where they could go get the ball. I think if we had one of them, we win easily because they have that ability to get the ball.

I watched that amendola "drop", what should have been TD at the end. And man, the cb just got his hand in there. We made enough plays on offense to win IMO. The killer was letting Miami get a TD before half and gost making a rare miss.

Hopefully Cincinnati craps themselves like Houston did and Manning chokes in the first round again. Not really out of the realm of possibility.

Gostkowski's miss hurt, but all of his misses have been on kicks where misses are commonplace (right now, the three-year conversion rate for a 48-yard kick is ~70%).

I don't blame him for the loss, it just came at a time where the defense wasn't doing anything.

Our offense is made of possession receivers, we need a presence like Gronk to open things up, it was evident how we struggled in the red zone. Our so call defense is not capable of stopping a 2 minute offense; ultimately when the game is on line, they will bend and break. This is the Carolina game all over, When other teams don't turn the ball over we need to ice the game early. At this stage a wild card spot is very likely, this team is in such an awful shape, I won't complain if we end up #3. I just hope we win a playoff game.

I have been supporting this team for a long time while the fan base was a lot thinner than it is nowadays.

Since Bledsoe came in with Parcells this team turned the corner and since BB and Brady hooked up it really went into overdrive.

We have been relevant for a long time.

The current version is doing amazing with what they have (what they have it obviously up for some criticism).

It has been a great season so far and they should be around for the postseason.

Hate to be too much of a homer but losses like this during this "comeback" streak hammers home the fact that because we did it the last three weeks we still need to do it this week.

We are what we are now and these are gonna be the horses heading into the post-season...we'll be competitive....

I still believe this team can go deep, but we just need Dobson and KT to be red zone factors.

With all the injuries in defense, losing the best non-QB offensive player, playing with Edelman, not 100%Amendola and rookie WRs it's pretty amazing what the Patriots have done this year. This team is battle-tested and if the defense can clean up their act in crucial moments they can go all the way. They'll never get blown out and they'll go down swinging if they lose in the playoffs, but anything is possible with Tom Brady.

I'd say Cincinnati has the "inside track" to the #2 seed since they currently control their own destiny in that regard. That may change after tonight but for now it's Cincy on the inside.

Cincy has a tough remaining schedule though. Hopefully they drop one or more and the pats win out.

Baltimore should be tough but with dobson and thompkins returning we should be better on o

So do the Patriots. NE gets the inside track back after Cincy loses tonight (assuming the Steelers hold on to win) but I really can see it going either way.

The missed FG could have been called either way from what I saw, the shanked kickoff was inexcusable though. You can't do that at that point in the game.

Baltimore will be the team that dictates what seed we get as we play them next week and they play Cinci the following. I'm going to assume that NE beats Buff at home last week and Cinci beats Minn at home next week.

Not the Patriots. They blew out the Steelers

It changed tonight

I don't see the Past beating Baltimore in their house with the team we have right now. We couldn't even beat them last year in the AFCCG in our house.

Pats will most likely go 11-5 and make the playoffs but it ends 1st game. My .02

No matter what happens I don't think anyone in the playoffs want to see an angry Pats team
