Since everyone is proclaiming us the favorites from Vegas to National Media, and of course the locals. The no respect card that has worked so well and defined this team is off the table. ( I know they can find stuff and make stuff up with the best of them, but it's gonna be hard to belive this year. )

So... How about if they are a team on a MISSION - To become the GREATEST NFL TEAM OF ALL TIME!!!

That doesn't mean you have to win every game. (85 Bears didn't win em all)
But they had an Attitude a ****iness and most important a MISSION.

I think we need to change our mindset from winning games, to going out there and puttin a hurtin on the teams we play. NO MERCY. not just enough to win.

I know this may not sound like New England Football.
But this is a different team, and they need something to motivate them.:singing:

Even HE Ban Me would have to say that would be pretty AWESOME!!!

Says who? The no respect card is ALWAYS in play for the Patriots.
Just read the reports. Most of the media is waiting for this team to "self-implode" so they can crow "I told you so" about the Moss trade. If I am the Patriots or Randy Moss, I am thinking to myself - the media is just trying to set us up for failure. That's pretty insulting. They want nothing more than to see our team fall flat on their collective faces, so they can talk about how BB "messed up" and how the Pats are "frantic" or acted "uncharactersitically" by drafting Meriweather and trading for Moss. There is a TON of disrespect going on by the national media, but right now it's more subtle, in the waiting for the "big flop" type. But there's no doubt they are scared of the team the Pats have assembled and fascinated by its potential, while at the same time they are hoping to see us fail. Just because the microscope has gotten bigger on New England does NOT mean that there still is not a lot of DISrespect for this team.

Everyone is waiting for a car crash, that is to be expected, and some people disagree on who we added to the team, but when it comes to winning games, people aren't saying we dont have a chance.

Go down the schedule and tell me how many games we will be the underdog in? One maybe Two.

People may not respect what the front office has done but they do respect the talent on the field.

After years of being overlooked despite dominating the league, it would not surprise me if some of the vets are thinking that way.

Do we get to do the Super Bowl shuffle?

You mean even better than the 2006 San Diego Chargers???

I have to be honest and say that I really don't get the "no respect" thing. I note a lot of writers who are full of praise for the Pats' achievements and way of doing things. Yeah, there are people like Borges, but I don't see him as being in the majority.

Q. Rodney now that you are the favorites how are you going to play the no respect card?

A. We never said we were the favorites. That's all of you saying that and when you say it you also add on paper.

On paper! You are all waiting for us to fall apart.

The rest of the NFL calling us paper champions. If that isn't disrespect I don't know what is.
