Here's what I don't understand: Waters at RG makes mid-season all-pro, and Mankins is regarded as (and paid like) one of the top guards in the league, yet teams are shutting Brady down by consistently getting pressure up the middle. Everyone (Bill included) says great things about Dante, but it's gotta be either the Willies and the Joes, or the Xs and Os.

Mankins has not played well. Connolly is okay, but nothing special.

I don't think it's consistent pressure up the middle that's shutting Brady down, honestly.

Both PIT and NYG used a lot of overload blitzes because it has worked for the Jets against NE....

And our line -- like *every* O-line -- is going to give up some pressure as a result.

But most Defenses simply aren't as talented as those 3 are, and seeing variations of the same strategy won't work forever against the Patriots.
