Granted, the NE offense is not as bad as the talking heads imply, but things are not as great as we like to believe.

Fasten your seatbelts this flight is heading towards turbulence.

I am not remotely worried about Mac’s talent. But I know the pass catchers in this team are near the bottom 10 of the League and those need to improve. Unfortunately, Mac will take the brunt of the blame.

Oh boy, more unhappiness and drama!

The whole point of being a sports fan is to take a break from the real problems and difficulties of life. There's no point of doing it without faith based optimism.

The hope is that the Pats offense will find its way as the season goes on.

They were 6th in points and 11th in TDs and 15th in yards last year. A year with a rookie QB and a QB who was was barely throwing some games.

So they werent really near the bottom of the league last year and they have added Parker. Thornton could be a boost and Agholor and Smith should easily be better than last year.

So how are they "near the bottom of the league?"

The 2021 Patriots beat up on some bad NFL teams running the points up.

79 points vs the Jets
50 vs the Jags
45 vs the Browns

Correcto. The 2021 Patriots relied heavily on the run and defense.

We hope that Mac improves and breaks out.

I said the pass catchers were near the bottom of the League, not the overall offense. Mac did a great job. He would do even better if he had some receivers/ends.

I have a weird suspicion that we will be playing some bad teams this year as well...

I believe we are playing the Browns again this year, even playing the Jets twice in an odd coincidence...

People actually watch this tripe?

Mac was flawless in 1 on 1's and 7's... but he "struggled" when they added the offensive line on 11's?

Tell me you don't know football without actually telling me...

Back in the spring Cup of joe made a valiant effort at this same exact thing proclaiming we had the worst or near worst receivers in the league.

Here are the cliff notes - he got destroyed and not just by some homers who think everything is great here.

Name the “receivers and ends” he should have ?

After listening to Nick Wright, I actually feel better about the offense now.

I remember that. Joe took a beating.

Including TE/WR, we're middle of the pack, maybe slightly worse. 15-20 range. Not great but not Houston, Baltimore, Tennessee, Detroit etc

Mac left a lot of yards, points - out there last year so there's room to grow among the rec corp. Obviously as he goes, we go but this group could be better with better QB play.

They have a ceiling though and need that alpha WR1 like Thomas, Diggs, Jefferson etc. You look at it that way and it puts it in perspective. You bring one of those guys in and you don't even need more changes. Bourne/Meyers are perfect WR2/3 and Henry is a top ten ish TE.

I think Thornton breaks the WR curse and has a break out rookie year. He's wining 1v1 in camp fairly consistently.

Its like Andy Kaufman [Pats] undefeated wrestling women and then Jerry Lawler [Bills} ending his career.

What exactly do you want? A list of WRs and TEs who have been FAs over the past 3-4 years, ones who were available for trade, or ones we could have drafted?

You seem not to be aware that Deebo Samuel was available when we drafted N'Keal Harry.... something tells me we wouldn't have traded Deebo for a conditional 7th rounder this past offseason.... there are SIX pro bowl WRs drafted after Harry from that year. You want me to list them, or do you know how to use google?
