I guess the real question is Vrabels past drafting skills. What does he like? Is he a lobster guy or just meat and potato? How was his drafting grade in Tennessee over the years?

I don’t know how much control he had over personnel. AJ Brown was moved against his (MV) apparent wishes.

There’s been a lot of talk about how the lines will be the focus of this draft. If they draft like they did when they selected Simmons, we will be ok.

Did he draft Henry? Is he like a ground and pound coach first?

They had some good picks and player development. But, as Lancerman said, we’re not sure since he wasn’t in control of the roster. The GM that took over and had Vrabel fired didn’t last much longer himself.

The first two drafts got 3 Pro Bowl players (Landry, Simmons, Brown). After that it got rough.

Ran Carthon...good fkn choice

We don’t know because he didn’t have control on the Titans and that became a big sticking point towards the end.

When Strunk fired Robinson, Vrabel wanted his guy Cowden as GM. Strunk was adamantly opposed to a HC having say on personnel. She promoted Carthon and fired Vrabel, a year later she fired Carthon.

He has said in interviews they ran Henry because he was the best option, not because that is what he prefers to do
I'm feeling his roots are with the defense and wants to coach pass rushers he can use to scheme. Short passing game with a big back.. I think he's a Mason guy ....

Vrabel was opposed to Carthon as GM, didn't think he was ready for the big chair and suggested he be Asst GM under Cowden. Titans owner Miss Amy not only went with Carthon she booted Cowden out of the organization. The writing was on the wall for Vrabel in TN after that. A year later Vrabel & Cowden are living large and Carthon is unemployed. Miss Amy did not choose wisely

Amy should STFU and let football Guys handle her ****.

I think Vrabel has a clear idea of the kind of team he wants to build, a big physical team that wins the fistfights. And you have to win the physical battles to execute properly.

I mean, you can think that, but I told you why they did that in Tenn.....

However, the Pats head coach's response made sense when asked about the Titans run-heavy offense.
"Our best player was our running back, as you can see in Baltimore," Vrabel told WEEI radio last week. "We tried to build the offense around what we felt like was our best player and what was our strength. You base whatever system and scheme that you have on the players that you have."

WIN the LOS, BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF BOTH SIDES.
Sorry for the caps, it can't be said enough IMO.

Make Teams NOT WANT to play you, because they are going to have the Crap kicked out of them.

Along with great Play Design on both sides, which is Coaching the guys well.

This is one of the many things I like about Vrabel. I believe he is completely clear headed when it comes to the types of players he wants to bring in, and the type of team he wants to build. And that’s necessary to be able to put the pieces together.
