Very good stuff and as someone who prefers to watch the power run game over the spread it out pass happy offenses of recent years, this makes me happy. Fullbacks are people too!

Imagine the power running game of the Pats, adding back Gronk and the Inmate. 5 linemen, 1 RB, 1 FB, 2 TE's, 1 WR, and Brady. They'd get 5 yards a carry, and the play action would be insane.

It's these kind of thoughts that cause me to glance at the bottle of scotch in midday. LOL

I'm glad to read about it, but it comes two years too late for me. They should have lined up Solder and Gronk as TEs vs. the Giants in the SB and run the ball down their throats.

That or the Coleman wr from Rutgers. The more I think about it, adding a stud TE or wr could really set the offense on fire.

Excellent article and one that will infuriate many pats fans here during the upcoming draft when BB selects a certain type of offensive player who projects to be part of a future plan based on current defensive (or even offensive) trends.

I said several years ago time to beef up the run because everyone was beefing up their defense for the pass. Luckily we have Belichick who pretty much builds the team defensively for both but it really is the difference between the good teams and the others.
