    meant to post this forever.

Was at the NFL network tent prior to the Super Bowl and saw Michael Irvin talking to fans. I know some here don’t like him, I think he is awesome. Was easily the most gracious to the fans. Mooch, Eisen, at least while I was there couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge the fans. Michael Irvin sought the fans out.

Anyway, here is a video I took of him and willie Mac talking about rings.

    Enjoy

He's always shown mad respect for Brady and the game in general. He's a talker, but he knows what he's talking about.

When he was a player, I hated the mouth, mostly because he played for Dallas. Now, as an older dude, I am entertained by his antics. He knows his chit. I like that he understands the fans, and gets that relationship.

    Pretty cool.

Irvin may have a screw loose but if we are looking to deem which media members enemies of the state, I don't put him in that basket of deplorables.

The Bank of Irvin could back the checks his mouth was writing. Respect.

I really like Irvin and Deion Sanders, they always show respect to the Pats, and they try not to take cheap shots at any of the players.

My only complaint about Irvin is he tries to add gravitas when it isn't required and some of his analogies are WTF moments. During Jimmy Johnson's episode of A Football Life in a life and death tone he said, paraphrasing, "He might be hanging down in Florida on his own little island but everybody goes down there to kiss his rings and get advice. Don't you dare call him Gilligan. You call him Skipper."

Skipper was a clown as well Michael.

Irvin talked smack (and was full of coke lol), but he was also an absolutely INSANE workaholic. He was the overwhelming focus of the Cowboys passing game in the 1990s, and nobody could do anything about it. He wasn't the crazy athlete on the level of Moss, but in his prime he was a guy that everybody knew was getting the ball and nobody could stop.

That actually comes across as a pro, not con, in my book. Unintentional comedy? More, please.

    Regards,
    Chris
