*I believe in 2015 SNF's share was 19 while in 2014 it was a 17 share. The share is the percent of all TVs that are on,
*advertisers prefer live viewers and the NFL is still leading in live viewers. However, Sunday Night Football previously was winning that sub category rating too. The story noted: "(these Ratings) represents a clear change from the past half-decade where SNF dominated thoroughly".

In the past number of years the NFL has seen stratospheric 'most coveted' demo numbers that virtually annihilated the competition. It made Goodell/NFL have godlike power over media. Yet while the SNF and NFL in general's demo numbers remain the gold standard among media/advertisers, the gold isn't as pure. A notable drop like this doesn't just affect a network's willingness to pay nearly any price for the NFL, it is bound to shake, just a little, Goodell's and the NFL's smug confidence that they can utterly dictate terms.

And just how powerful is the NFL TV product? The Big Bang Theory is moved by CBS from its normal prime time evening (Thursday to Monday - for half a season) just so CBS can host TNF. When the NFL can get a network to move its biggest show to another night, that's some friggin serious media power!
