Tuesday Patriots Notebook 9/8: Dobson Has the Perfect Opportunity vs Pittsburgh

Ian Logue

One of the benefits of winning the Super Bowl is being able to open the next season in front of the home crowd on national television and for a player who's in a contract season, things couldn't have worked out better for wide receiver Aaron Dobson.

Just a quick side note, there's a lot more in this piece than just Dobson as it's a rundown of quite a few topics. Going to be doing these each morning for the rest of the season so let me know what you think.

I have no idea why but I had a vivid dream last night that Aaron Dobson caught a touchdown pass. The Pats were lined up around the 10 yard line facing the "lighthouse" endzone so on TV it would be on the left. The play took a little time to develop but Aaron got open (changed direction on a defender) right around the middle of the endzone (slightly right off center), Tom threw a bullet and Aaron caught it right in the bread basket. I'm not sure when it was during the game but I don't recall it being a game winning touchdown.

I'm just posting this to see if I have any precognitive abilities

I got high hopes for #17 this season. He has the tools, just show us Aaron, the time is now !

Will definitely be a player of interest for sure. Also the rb situation, oline, secondary will also be must watch. Too bad all they are talking about is 2007 lol. Brady, Moss and Welker is all I really think about when looking back. And recently Junior Seau.

Dobson>80 yards, 1 TD

i want dobson to show he is the player he was in the steelers game his rookie season it would be a big boost to our offense to have someone legit with size who can play the outside. combined with the 2 TE's, 3rd down RBS and edelman/amendola we could cover the whole field
