If it is indeed to announce his retirement, then allow me to be among the first in this thread to say "thank you Troy". From the catch on your back at Giants Stadium in 1996 through your final snap, you were the epitome of team player and what is right about sports. In a time when the focus is on the TO's of the world, you kept your profile low and your stats high, and for that alone you should be commended. In the end, you will go down as one of the greatest ever to wear a New England uniform for all that you did in your time here. Thank you Troy for playing every down like it was your last, treating every game like it was the Super Bowl, and every player like he was an all-pro. Good luck wherever your path takes you next.
(*That being said, I hope it is an announcement that he has been training as an option qb and the pats are using the bye week to install a new offense. )
