lot softer now than when we played, but the onus falls on the players to do the work themselves to be ready. The team can only do so much.
This is true for the soft tissue stuff, but nothing can prepare your body for the hitting, except getting hit. True in every sport. As a lifelong hockey player, I can skate all summer, but nothing can prepare you for the physical toll of gameplay, besides actually playing

One thing I haven't read in the descriptions from the scrimmage (which sounds like it must have been very entertaining for the fans) was that Drake Maye was constantly being harrassed by defenders, so can I infer Campbell was perfect in pass protection and we now have nothing to worry about and he will never all a sack or tackle all season.

Based on some of posts I see "evaluating" player that would be a fair take. Right?

I’m a bit concerned that he’s being told hey this worked in college but not in this league.

I hope he can adapt, I personally wouldn’t of picked him at 4.
I think its that he has discovered that some things don't translate to the NFL rather than being told by someone else. Just my guess

I took it as Campbell telling the reporter that it doesn't work in the NFL...not that someone told him that. JMO.

A caller to Jim Murray says Will Campbell looked gassed? True?

It's kind of been a common theme. Vrabel gave him something about being from Louisiana and dealing with the heat better in practice 1. Tonight was a very cool night. I just think he's one of those guys that just always seems gassed. It doesn't stop him from running his reps.

I don't know at what point I should actually start putting Boutte in the top group but he makes plays everytime I've gone so far this summer.

Williams too.

Pop and Diggs were a little quieter tonight than other sessions I've seen.

I thought Campbell looked ok but I thought the same about Bradbury both seemed to respond similarly so I don't want to get scared yet on Campbell or Bradbury still for that matter but I didn't expect him to miss practices so my novice medical card might need revocation.

I was a little nervous about Bourne but what I saw fits in with a cramp. I initially thought a foot or toe so lower leg cramp seems like good news.

I didn't see the other injuries.

Hawkins and Dial seemed to have good nights.

Drake seemed a little erratic not his best day but he still spread it around and had a couple deep plays.

Dobbs I thought had his best day.

For whatever reason I didn't pay enough attention to the line play but it seemed like there was a decent amount of pressure just couldn't tell exactly who it was causing it. Overall after several practices I'm still a little concerned about the OL. It's easy to just assume they are going to be better and I don't doubt they will be but we need significant improvements all over and I'm not sure we are getting that yet.

Hopefully it's just my existing fears leading the witness (me). Joint practice and preseason will obviously give us a better look.

*There will be no access to practice over the weekend as the next scheduled workout open to the public will be Monday, August 4. That session is set for 10:15 a.m. with gates scheduled to open at 9:15 a.m. The Washington Commanders will be in town on Wednesday for a joint practice ahead of the preseason opener on Friday.

I was at the scrimmage. Maye was under intense pressure for most of the game. Stevensons fumble looked barely forced, Boutte showed up to play, Douglas should have caught the deep ball along the sideline, Drake lfirst int was thrown into traffic, his second was a terrible decision that allowed Austin to jump the route.

Henderson had a lot of play blown as over, but was barely touched, he was set to dominate.
