Ellis is a up and coming coverage guy. He had 5 PD's last year...not shabby for an LB who's didn't start too many games. I find it odd Giardi said that.
Ellis was lost in coverage last year. Couldn’t get to his zone effectively, couldn’t find the receivers in it. Really, really bad.

Cap agreed.. same for Rham as well. All indication is pointing to Henderson as the feature back.. and that could help rham this season. Taking the load off him.

Henderson won't be the feature RB this season, at least not for awhile... Maybe by the end of it he might be.

But no RBs need to go Anywhere right now. We have only four of them as it is!

Are you forgetting we signed Hasty?

That makes at least five iirc. Rham, Gibson, Henderson, Larison, Hasty, just off top of my head.

So, we have 2 solid backs and you want to cut one and presumably replace him by signing someone. Most of his 2026 salary is guaranteed. I see him as a solid #2.

I always felt Giardi was unbiased along with guys like Reiss, Kyed...not so much Curran. I don't think it's the case that he doesn't like the Williams...I mean Henderson pick...in this instance I think he just forgot. Ellis is going to shine in this defense.
I like Giardi.. but the sky's always falling with him.. he is a good reporter and journalist even when he worked here locally we were in AFCCG and winning however in his eyes we weren't that good. The way I view it is go back to the earlier days of the first dynasty you'd find guys like felga and Ron Borges reporting the same things.. this team looks NOTHING like the disaster last season. They look well coached, organized and hungry to win.

Are you sure? Feature back don't mean 300 carries... woodhead... Lewis... remember those Feature backs?...

Who said I wanted to cut rham?? If you've followed my post on rham I've advocated for NOT cutting him.. I'm saying Henderson could be a feature back.. with rham and he splitting time.. rhams fumbles have alot to do with the amount of carries he's had.. as he had to carry the offense alot because we were putrid offensively..

Henderson speed is electric he has really come on during camp.. Josh has put him in excellent positions to showcase his abilities.. he's a match up nightmare for LBs and Safeties.. there is absolutely no way he's not on the field a lot this season no matter ehat anyone says. There's no one on the offense with his speed.

Maybe he just has high expectations already for Henderson so arrow pointing where he expected lol

I'm expecting something similar to Gibbs rookie season. Around 230-250 touches, around 15 per game. Gibbs jumped up to 302 touches last year, but Montogomery's injury played a role in that uptick. He's a dynamic weapon, so he will have the chance to provide a lot of production per touch.

Now we are talking. He's actually being compared to Gibbs as a matter of fact. Henderson has an element that we've not had since sweet feet and dion Lewis.. remember how electric Lewis was. Josh won't overload him as a rookie but he will utilize his skill set to give Drake match up advantages.. Henderson and rham compliment each other.

For sure, could be a very productive duo. I expect 1/4 to 1/3 of Henderson's touches will be receptions. And yes I remember the first game I saw Lewis, my first thought was damn, we haven't has a RB that could make people miss like that since Martin.

Saw him play in Minnesota a few years back... he didn't look lost. Won some games too: he's better than our former back-up.
Technically Maye was our former back up, so you're saying there is a QB controversy? LMAO just playin

Just BTW, should a WR have to have 32 receptions to have been a contributor at WR? In the past 10 years, how many times do you think that FOUR receivers had this monumental achievement. Of course, the answer is ZERO.

TEN YEARS - IN NO YEAR DID FOUR OR MORE WIDE RECEIVERS HAVE 32 RECEPTIONS!
For which team? The Pats? A team that has had issues finding WRs and has relied heavily on RB and TE for pass catching?

Woodhead wasn’t a feature back

If Bourne is injured I doubt a team will trade for him. Will he end up being placed on IR and being and being able to return later?
It's a short term injury.. Which is why Vrabel said he wouldn't be practicing this week.

If Bourne remains injured, then he can be IRed for return at cutdowns. But not before.

Thats a bit of a red herring. They are currently as constructed to be 20 million OVER the cap next season. So that is a fake number. They need to shed to be cap compliant next season.
No. They don't. Because you're ignoring the carryover. Which Overthecap doesn't mention.

Girardi slamming Swinton when he's been getting 2nd team Defensive reps and was thought to be a project and has been mentioned a couple of times is silly. At best, he should have been under the "needs more"
