Titans battled back from a 16-0 deficit to tie. Mike Neugent missed a 30 and 34 yd FG and an extra point. His confidence can't be good right now. Jets could host us next week in a devastated frame of mind.

LOL a trap? After the game we just watched. I completly expect us to win but it will hardly be a trap.

Considering the way the Patriots barely won today and how the Jets are a division rival and how it will only be week 2, the words 'trap game' shouldn't cross the mind of any New England Patriot. Until we find our stride, there is no easy/trap game.

I doubt it. These boys woke up in the second half, they won't be caught sleeping again.

Mangini's D saves their butts - okay it was against Kerry Collins leading the Titans, but heh, you take'em as they come.

next week's game is going to be tough and mangini would know some tips to disrupt brady.

Yep, tough start, a win in his first game as an NFL head coach, yep, tough start. Poor Mangini is 1-0. I think they should fire him.

If it was the Boston media, wouldn't that be the normal consensus?

The media pretty much creates stories, haven't we learned that from the Deion situation?

You mean Felger? Seems like. But I could have sworn Ronnie B was read a bed time story from somebody in NYC...

Did I miss something or did he win? How is that tough?

I'm with you. I saw the title of this thread and thought the Titans came back and won and I missed it. The Jets are predicted to win 4 or 5 games this year and they went on the road and got a victory. I agree that Nugent must cause them some concern but going on the road and winning in the NFL - especially for a team like the Jets - hardly qualifies as a "tough start." I think us Patriots fans should be a little more concerned with our own team than the Jets, the Mannings and every other little tidbit from around the NFL that people post. How about we focus on the receivers having more than 4 catches for 51 yards next week? Let's start there.

Encouraged by the win. Our defense was supposed to be stronger than our offense, and today it was just the opposite. I'm encouraged that we appear to be building something.

That defense will take a few more reps to start gelling well, just make sure to give the Pats a tough game so they gear up steadily for the post-season.

Yeah Felger, Borges, Michael Irvin, Tom Jackson, recently Wendy Nix. I only take Reiss, Tomase, Holley, and Curran as legit. The others just seem to want to stir the pot.

And I agree on focusing on the Pats. There are too many threads on Fantasy football and other teams. The Pats have plenty of issues to talk about.

Today's win should be confidence builder for the JETs. One big question
was Pennington. He performed very well according to JETs I heard.
He had over 300+ yds and a QB rating of 122.

Ok it was the Titans but this should be a good game to build on.
It was a win and they got some confidence because of it. There
are several positives they take can from it and some key places they will
need to improve. All in all it should make them a better team next week
and they will have a very good attitude when they meet the PATs.

If PATs don't bring their A game they could get beat.

After the surprise that was this weeks game, I'm quite interested to see how the Pats fare against Mangini and a healthy Pennington.
