here are mine..hard to quantify one over the other and my knowledge and history about the game/pats is limited to the last 8 yrs .. but anyways..

10.16 catches against chiefs in 2002
9.entering as DB in the RAMS game against their feared receivers and hold his own.
8. 81 yard td in overtime against the fins.i remember this was the day after the aaron *bleepin* boone sox game and this TD instantly made my week a bit better.
7.Catch in SB 38 to during game winning drive after he was called for offf pass int in the previous play i think.
6.patten to brown to start the 2001 season rolling
5.blocked punt against steelers in AFCCG converted to a TD.
4.Stripping mcree after the brady int in the AFC Divisional playoff game
3.punt return for TD in 2001 AFCCG
2.Decides to retire as a patriot instead of joining the jets.
1.Brady to brown ,last drive SB 36.

I think CB Troy's pick of Drew Bledsoe when Drew was the Bills QB is one of my all time favorite Troy Brown moments

Impossible to argue with any of those. He was a great, one of a kind player that deserves to be remembered in Patriots history as much as anybody.

For me #4 was maybe the biggest, just because he single-handedly saved the season and allowed us to win the game, making a play that no WR should have made.

QFT. Granted, that may be the dumbest move by a CB in NFL history, but, still, you have to give #80 mad props for getting the ball back. [Not quite as important, but ditto for Kevin Faulk stripping Ed Reed of his INT in the Baltimore game last year.]

I guess BB highlighted his play during the Packers game when he held Driver to 1 catch-that pic is on the wall at Gillette. Of all, that's something most of us mere mortals would never think of lol. Troy was a playmaker everytime. All I know is whenever he took the field I expected good things to happen and they always did.

I'm torn between the Chargers game and Pitts.

Glad to see this catch get some love. This is one of those catches that gets lost in the shuffle as the Pats were trying to get into GW FG position, but upon review you just go "Holy crap, what a catch!"

Edit: Shame on all of us for forgetting the 3rd-down catch he made on his back against the Giants in the '96 finale, keeping the game-winning drive alive that got the Pats to 11-5 and a #2 seed.

Regards,
Chris

Can't believe the catch on his back against the Giants is not on here.

as i said i must have not followed the pats/football during the time. i just started understanding this game since late 2000 .

His punt return, and run/lateral in the Pittsburgh game are tops to me.

For me number one is his blocked field goal in 01

number 2 is key catch in Panthers game with a broken nose

number 3 Brown pics off drew

number 4 81 yarder VS the Dolphins (he buoyed the spirits of a depressed Boston fan base with this one)

and Number 5 Bingo.....Bingo.....I got Bingo we win again. This has to be the singal greatest celebration speech I have ever heard.

Favorite was clearly what this man did in Pittsburgh on January 27th, 2002:

Troy Brown:

Always quiet, never talked smack with anyone, had to listen to the 2001 Steelers go off all week about the a@@-whoopin they were going to hand us. Troy kept his mouth shut like he always did and
went out, busted a punt return up the seam for 6 and the coolness of his lateral to Antwann Harris for another 6. Guy single-handedly shut the traps of Bettis, Porter and the entire city who thought
they were going to pummel us. Troy had the last laugh. Humbleness reigns, thanks Troy !!!!!!!! BINGO........YOU WIN AGAIN BABY !!!!!!!

Not "important" in the same way, but the TD pass from Vinatieri was one of the most pure fun football moments I can recall.

Anybody have a picture of Troy knocking away a Peyton Manning pass in the 04 divisional game against the Colts, the 20-3 game?

For those that are technologically gifted (and have some time on their hands), it would be nice to get all these moments in a YouTube video compilation.

That's my favourite.

'96 was a magical year.

Divisional Playoff: In the fog when we kicked the crap out of the Steelers.

AFC Championship Game: Power goes out before the half and then Otis Smith picks up a Jimmy Stewart fumble late in the 4th quarter and returns it for a TD.

That was the loudest I have ever heard a Pats crowd. As soon as Otis scooped the ball up the Stadium erupted and you couldn't hear yourself think. That's a moment I'll never forget.

Without Troy's catch against the Giants none of the above would have been possible.

2006 Divisional Playoff @ SD. Brady's pass was intercepted by McCree. Troy Brown stripped the ball from him and we maintained possession and went on to upset the No. 1-seeded San Diego Chargers 24-21

He is definitely one of our all time greats ! Pure class act !

One of my all time favorite Pats, but the thing that always stands out for me about him was the way he played in 2000 on a bad team. There were a lot of guys on that team just going through the motions, but there was Troy, standing out because he was out there playing like his hair was on fire. That made me a huge Troy Brown fan, and all the great games/plays that came after just kept proving how great he was.

Wes Welker on bad Miami teams reminded me of Troy on that Pats team as an aside.

that one is tied at the top for me with the punt return TD and FG block in the steelers game.

Mine is more of a favorite series of plays rather than an individual play.

In 2004 AFC divisional game, Troy in as CB and knocks down a 3rd down pass to force a punt. He stays on the field.

Next play he returns (or fair catches) the punt. He stays on the field.

Next play he lines up as WR.

That's the first and probably last time I'll ever see someone go from D to ST to O on 3 straight plays.
