Anybody else think we'll be seeing him soon?
He has been a "Practice Player of the Week" 4 times now. (Tied with Ventrone).
The problem for Ventrone is that we don't need another safety on the roster but a CB (Carter), I could see happening.

Ahh the Bam Childress award...

The practice player of the week and $1.50 gets you french fries at McDonalds...

Nevertheless, they could use a corner.

Wow... for a second I thought you were talking about this guy...

well...some more info on this guy would be nice...how was he in college, what were his scouting reports, what type of player is he?

He's small and not very physical so putting him on a tall WR would be a no-no.
He is quick and does not get caught turned around very often. He's a decent tackler for his size. He could help the run defense.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's funny how often guys with the same name pop up in this league. There were two guys named Ricky Williams, two guys named Reggie White. (Granted, both of those examples involved players who were in the league at the same time.)

But for him personally it has value, because it makes him more likely to keep his $88K a year job with opportunity for promotion. That's geat money for any guy his age even if its at the very low end of the NFL pay scale.

Tony Carter was a functional FB, but a horrible replacement for Sam Gash. Loved Sam..

He may help this year, and the only way I see him contributing next year is by bumping butler/wilhite from the roster...not the easiest task for a ps guy...can he play st's?

I think in college he was successful on ST. He blocked a kick and I believe he was also a returner.

NFL.com states that Carter ran a consistent 4.30 40 yard dash.

Mike Williams, Steve Smith...

One of the many dumb personnel decisions of the Pats when Carrol was around.

Lord yes. Should have kept the Martin/Gash battering ram.

On the bright side, if Carroll wasn't so inept, we wouldn't have replaced him with Belichick.
