great show, really enjoyed it.....although a 2 hour version would have been better I always felt that bledsoe felt like an outcast during the win...but the way TB spoke, it was WE did this, and it appeared that bledsoe felt the same way!

I was the biggest Bledsoe fan for the longest time, however, I dont feel Drew was the happiest campers the entire season.. :bricks:

If they were 2 hours each they would still miss stuff but an hour (40 minutes with commercials) just isn't enough.

I really thought Redmond was having his break out during the playoffs and would be a factor going forward.

Even Dillion made the highlights, albeit in a bengals uniform scoring on us!

Rodney Harrison was also in a clip as a Charger.

That was awesome. I'm addicted to the America's Game series. Easily the best SB docs I've seen. I will buy them all on DVD. I'm not gonna lie, NFL Network is about the greatest TV there is. It's detrimental to my sleep.

It's better without Marshall Faulk and his anti-patriot crap!

I watched the show last night and here's a serious question:

Was Brady ever close to being cut in 2000 or during the offseason in 2001 that you know of? I mean he was a 6th round pick and they didn't seem too pleased with his performance.

Nope. Not really close at all. They referenced Weis' book that Tommy read, but coaches tend to evaluate what needs improvement so they can work on that as opposed to listing things a player is doing OK with, because that's a waste of time in camp. He performed well enough in camp to earn a spot, but had a lot of improvement from 2000 to 2001.

Brady was never threatening Beldsoe for the starters job in 2000, but I don't understand where you would get "they didn't seem too pleased with his performance."

Brady was what he was. A kid with potential that wasn't quite ready. Just because he rarely saw the active list doesn't mean anyone was displeased.

Tonight at 8 PM EST on the NFL Network, They are showing "America's Game",The Story of The 2001 New England Patriots. Tom Brady,Lawyer Milloy, and Adam Vinatieri narrate the story of what can be argued was most Pats' Fans, "Favorite Team".

It is awesome. Definitiely worth watching. Even my watch watched it and enjoyed it!

I have 2004 & 2001 TiVO'd.

I haven't seen 2003 yet. That is kind of the forgotten Pats SB team.

2001 was the miracle team; 2004 was the steamroller.

I also grabbed two "America's Game" episodes on TiVO that were pretty cool -

1978 Pittsburgh Steelers
1972 Miami Dolphins

I guess you didn't watch the show. Also, one other time I saw Belichick interviewed he said something on the order of that with the way Brady performed in 2000, going in the 6th round was about right.

You are right, so would you mind letting me know what I missed?

From what I have read in the past, what BB meant is that Brady just wasn't physically ready for the big time. That is why he was a 6th rounder.

If I remember correctly, Brady was 1 of 4 QB's on the roster in camp, and went from 4th to second by end of preseason because of his ability to grasp the playbook well and improve on his quickness and reads...He took the comments as things to work on, not let him get down on himself...something the coaching staff made note of obviously...

PD.

Are they replaying this?
