EDIT:
Mike Tomlin returns to stadium where he “always” has communications issues
But the not-so-subtle claim of cheating still exists on the Steelers’ website. Here’s the full entry: “This is the kind of stuff that happens to the visiting team in Gillette Stadium all the time. From the start of the game through the opening 14 minutes of the first quarter, the Steelers’ coaches’ headsets were receiving the Patriots Radio Network broadcast of the game. The broadcast was so loud that the Steelers coaches were unable to communicate, and the NFL rule is that if one team’s headsets are not working the other team is supposed to be forced to take their headsets off. It’s what the NFL calls the Equity Rule. Strangely enough, whenever an NFL representative proceeded to the New England sideline to shut down their headsets, the Steelers headsets cleared. Then as the representative walked away from the New England sideline, the Steelers’ headsets again started to receive the Patriots game broadcast.”

Is this some kind of passive aggressive baiting here?

Have the Steelers FO wonks already sent emails to Troy Vincent asking him to pay close attention to the functionality of the headsets?

Has Caserio already sent an email to Troy Vincent asking the Game Day Ops people to play close, special attention to the PSI of the footballs? After all, the Steelers have a reputation for that sort of thing.

If this was a response to a media question, I think that's more on the mediot. Although we do already know Tomlin is the NFL's leader in excuses.

this is why he will lose.

BB always assumes everything wont work, and plans for it.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Tomlin is just creating a distraction after the brown fiasco to make more mediots talk and respond about this and lead into patriots cheating episodes and all the stories from 2004 etc.

Yesterday WEEI was mentioning how one pitts writter (probably Ed bouchette) wrote that teams last met in the playoffs in 2004 when the patriots "may have cheated".
