Thanks for a good time, PFT | ProFootballTalk.com

Apparently CSSNE is launching a new website, along the lines of WEEI.com or ESPN Boston.com.

Curran seems to indiciate that he will be taking on a role like Reiss did at ESPN Boston.

He's the second Boston-gone-national reporter to return in Boston (from NBCSports.com) this month. Albert Breer will be returning from Sporting News to join the Globe.

That is great if you have comcast, but for those of us who have Cox or Verizon does not work out all that well.. really enjoy Curran, except for the infection to Brady faux pas...

A lot of one step forward, two steps back in mediaville lately. Not sure if if was scripted but a few weeks ago when they announced the WEEI pre-game show crew and it included Chris Price but no mention of Curren he was on and acting miffed. Curren never seemed to find his niche at NBC. He never got any on air gigs with them and they ended up doing a dance with the devil (acquiring Florio) to boost hits on their website. I think his behavior over the Brady miscalculation hurt his image.

Good stuff. Curran's normally on point and has a good wit, too - I prefer guys like this staying local and covering our teams.

Huh? CSSNE (formerly Fox Sports New England) is on Verizon (76/77) and Cox (55). And Charter (36) if you're in Wocester county. It has the same exposure as NESN.

Maybe you're thinking of CN8, which is defunct.

Nice to see Breer and Curran heading back, pity some of the youngsters coming up will hit the veteran ceiling, but it sounds like the Boston market will have a strong Patriots coverage battle going.
