Tom Curran is officially a moron

I won't argue with the thread title. I will, however, point out that I never alleged the Jets offense was superior to the Patriots. Just that the question marks the Patriots have up front are concerns. The Jets' line is as good as the Patriots. Or better. Their running game is superior. The Patriots have them everywhere else. The other point I was making is that, as inept as the Jets offense may be, their defense is better equipped to keep them in games than the Patriots' defense is when their respective offenses sputter.

Tom,

I will give you credit for coming here and taking your lumps. I actually really respect you and you opinions (as the person who started this thread I admit I only said it for that argument), but you really went off the deep end on WEEI on Friday.

I hear this a lot. Mangold is a beast. Who else is better then what the Patriots have? Is Shone Green and LT better than the Patriots group? What about when you add Faulk? How about the blocking the Pats get from TE position, I think that is going to make a hell of a difference this year.

Brady vs. Sanchez demolishes any small advantage you want to see in any other aspect. The Jets offense sputtering means 9 points. The patriots offense sputtering may mean 21 points.

BTW, I don't know if the Jets' o-line is as good or better as the Pats' o-line. I think Mangold is the best o-lineman on either team, but I would take Vollmer over Woody and I think Light and Ferguson are a wash. After tonight, I will take Connelly over Slauson any day of the week.

Ditto. Brady is one of the three best QBs in the league and I don't think Sanchez right now could start on 29 of 32 teams right now.

Breaking down the offenses by position is all fine and good but you need to score in todays NFL. I think the Jets would be better with you, Tom E, as QB.

Fair enough, I didn't hear the actual interview, and appreciate the clarification.

I'm still not convinced that I'd give the Jets the advantage in the running game either. With Thomas Jones, yes. With LT, not so much.

The Pats have a few question marks on offense no doubt, but the questions surrounding the Jets offense are massive. We're talking about a few issues on a top 5 offense vs. major changes to an offense that ranked in the bottom half of the NFL last season.

If we should be concerned about our offense, the Jets should be absolutely terrified. And after tonight, I think they are.
