Tom Curran and Mike Florio don't know one basic fact; convinced by Brunell's tears

In listening to their radio broadcast today, both agreed that if Brady had only admitted he liked the balls at 12.5 PSI during the press conference, he would have gotten off, but he evaded it.

Here is the total stupidity of the judges, the reporters, everyone involved in this. Brady repeatedly stated that he likes the balls at 12.5. He said "they are perfect for him at 12.5 PSI."

It was Mark Brunell who totally misinterpreted his answer to Ron Borges, who twisted it into his saying Brady can't tell the difference between 12.5 and 11.

That's not what Brady said at all, but Curran and Florio still think this is what he said.

Brady was answering Ron Borges' question about why Brady couldn't tell the difference during the game. When Brady said that he only handles the ball for a second or two, and he's got so much on his mind he's not measuring the ball at that point. Borges kept going at Brady and said D'Quell Jackson noticed it immediately. Brady basically said, "Ron, I didn't notice a change in the air pressure."

Months later we found out that D'Quell Jackson never noticed a difference in air pressure. He said he had nothing to do with anything about it. AND, the ball were not 2.5 PSI under. They were right where they always are when it rains and the temperature is 45 degrees. No wonder Brady didn't notice anything. Dan Marino and Joe Theisman backed him up on this and said it was preposterous to be noticing 1 PSI changes in pressure in the middle of the game when you handle the ball for like 2 seconds.

And yet, we have otherwise smart people like Curran and Florio going along with the tears of Brunell, who apparently has been hit in the head one two many times and can't understand plain English.

But this was the start of it all, what got the ball rolling.

To this day, people like Curran and Florio seem to think Brady never said he liked the balls at precisely 12.5 PSI. It's absurd. Brady said it. He repeated it. There is a goof cut-up song out there on youtube with Brady saying it repeatedly in many different ways.



There was even a text earlier that Brady wanted the balls at 12.5 PSI.

I'm not sure if I see what the big deal is either way as long as he likes them legal

Either way, this is all just Goodell having Wells string together 400 plus pages of drivel and the Haters will do the rest, stringing together random occurrences and out of context statements to make it seem like something was going on - regardless of the fact that the footballs weren't deflated

The problem for Brady is that everyone now says that his credibility is indeed part of the whole judgement process. Curran and Florio were talking about how he lacked credibility at the presser because he refused to talk about the fact that he could tell the difference in air pressure. Curran seems to think that the NFL will be allowed to punish him if in Goodell's judgement he is not credible.

They were merely wondering why he said "I believe so" when asked if didnt do anything wrong but ultimately blamed the nfl for leaking false info and not correcting to put brady in that situation.

This is similar to people saying Brady never proclaimed his innocence during that press conference the week after the AFCCG because he answered one question with "I don't think so." The fact is, he did say he had done nothing wrong, several times, but people only seize on that one response.

Regarding people being able to notice if the balls were deflated, one of the things that gets asked here a lot is why didn't the officials notice a difference, since they handle the balls before every play. The reason for this (and the reason why Brady or any QB wouldn't notice) is that the PSI change doesn't happen instantly. Since it's a gradual change as the footballs acclimate from being inside to be outside, it's more difficult to notice. Plus, the officials and the players have more on their minds, like what happened on the last play and what are we going to do on the next play, to think "Hey, this football seems a tiny bit softer than it did 30 minutes ago."

There's tons of legal experts more knowledgable than I - and two of the judges certainly seemed to already have a bias... though they also seemed woefully uninformed.

But the bottom line is judge Berman vacated the suspension based on MANY findings of where Goodell had just completely disregarded the CBA

Now I know the NFL's CBA with the players is different from nearly all other CBAs, but the notion that a court would affirm that parts of a CBA are optional, and that Management can pick and choose which, provisions, and how and when, they are adhered to and when they're ignored would be one with some significant repercussions - as well as legal implications that the 2nd circuit court - and possibly the Supreme Court - would want to see addressed

It all comes down to how the 2nd court frames their decision if they overrule Berman

But again there's a LOT of Berman's factual findings they have to legally over-turn - if just ONE of them holds legal water with 2 of these judges, Berman's ruling stands

What kills me in all this is that it appears that the NFL is going to get away with suspending a guy based on:

- Complete misinformation
- One-sided report that was claimed to be "independent", but which was actually edited by NFL counsel
- Not understanding basic science
- Innuendo
- Spreading lies and controlling the narrative
- Literally making things up
- Somehow successfully arguing that the CBA allows Goodell to do whatever he wants, for any reason he wants, when it comes to player discipline​

Think about that. Then combine that with his flat-out lying in the Ray Rice case, the NFL withdrawing funds in the CTE research because the findings weren't going according to the NFL's wishes, and the NFL hiding, what, $150 million from the players (calling it an "accounting error" when found out), and it's pretty obvious that what you have here is a totally corrupt enterprise.

And for some reason Bob Kraft is perfectly willing to let them continue to trash Brady and the team's reputation without fighting back. The Patriots should designate Jonathan Kraft as their voice, hold an in house review of all of the actual facts of this case and hold a press conference to rip onto the league for it, and they should open it by calling out Goodell, Clement, and the league for lying to the 2nd Court of Appeals in this week's hearing when they claimed Brady was dishonest about discussing the issue with Jasremski. Then they should address the fact that Wells told Brady the phone would not be needed and the repeated findings of respected scientists regarding the Ideal Gas Law, the league' use of a fraudulent lab, and the league's refusal to monitor football's this season and hiding the results of the few checks they did. Sitting idly by is not acceptable the Patriots need to fight back while this matter is being reviewed and they need tho be as public and aggressive as they can in doing it. F.ck Goodell and F.ck the NFL, they are serial liars and need to be called out publicly for it.
