Tom Brady's agent says he plans to play this year and for many more years

I understand that but he could have ended it with a slightly more upbeat scene. It was not a coincidence that the final episode was cut in a way to end on a somewhat ambiguous note.
I don’t see it that way. I think people read too much into it.

Brady had the front office trade Garrapolo and now you guys are stuck w Old Man River.
Watching this forum turn on Brady as the rust shows more this year than it did in the Super Bowl will be quite entertains.

Pats could just pick up a bucketful of failed Jets QBs until they find a replacement in 5 or 10 years.

TB12 Method kind of loses its luster if he doesn't play. And I'm sure Giselle and he talked about this before the book was published. He's pretty much pot-committed to playing at this point.

Regards,
Chris
At this point IO actually DON'T think TB12 method loses any luster at all if he retires while still fit and healthy. at the age of 40+. At this point you have to figure he's done something right all these years to get that deep into his life while still not just playing at the NFL level, but one of the best players at his position in the league in any given year.

If he wanted to explain how he'd managed to stay healthy and at a peak performance level all these years with the TB12 method, I doubt (technically) that he'd have to seriously keep playing to make the point.

Which only means that's not the reason he's still going. And nobody thought it was. TB12 probably feels he has unfinished business unless he can guide his team to another Superbowl win. and anyway, it's not in his nature to make it easy to whoever the team drafts to replace him. He's going to play until it's clear to the team that he's no longer the team's best option at QB. And I hope that takes awhile.

We're quite happy being "stuck" with a guy who was in the MVP race last year and came within a few plays of carrying a team with a ramshackle hodgepodge of a defense on his back all the way to yet another Lombardi.

In the mvp race? He was the mvp.

This is the age of "reality" TV though. Even things that are supposed to be live look-ins at famous people's lives are edited in a way to make them more interesting, NOT more accurate. Brady has a brand to grow, and I'm sure that was the impetus for how they tried to angle the end of TvT.

I get what you are saying but I am not sure that any of the TV reality applies for a limited series like that. They don't care about how many people clicked in unless internally they keep the option of another season open.

I would think that staying firm in his commitment to play those 3-4 more years as he had mentioned repeatedly would be more valuable to his TB12 brand.

Either way, I doesn't matter anyway as 2018 is a done deal now.

BSPN: "Hey, its a slow news day, lets make up a piece on speculation Brady is not playing"

...one day passes...

BSPN: "Hey. lets run a story that Brady IS playing"

...even though he said he was playing a couple more years...
