Pulled his numbers from the database for each half (the page isn't public yet) and he's been pretty solid. 10 second half touchdowns compared to six in the first half:

His third down passing is pretty impressive as well. Here's a down-by-down breakdown:

Tom Brady Down-by-Down Passing Stats:
1st: 78/114 (68%) 934yds 2TDs
2nd: 60/88 (68%) 719yds 11TDs, 1INT
3rd: 35/47 (74%) 401yds 3TDs (25 First Downs)
4th: 0/2

He also gets better on third down in the red zone:

Tom Brady Down-by-Down Passing in the Red Zone:
1st: 8/14 (57%) 52yds 2TDs
2nd: 10/18 (56%) 73yds 8TDs
3rd: 8/11 (73%) 62yds 3TDs

Pretty good start so far

Amendola is your overall third down receiving leader:

Third Down Receiving Totals:
Amendola 11/12 100yds (7 first downs) 1TD
Edelman 8/10 91yds (6 first downs) 1TD
Gronk 7/10 93yds (5 first downs) 1 TD
Chandler 3/5 51yds (3 first downs)
Lewis 3/5 28yds (1 first down)
Martin 1/1 16yds (1 first down)
Dobson 1/1 10yds (1 first down)
White 1/1 12yds (1 first down)
Bolden 0/1
LaFell 0/1

16 TD's 1 INT???? WTH.

And the 1 Int was an Edelman hiccup.

Defensive coordinators must hate the Patriots. You cover Edelman, Gronk, Lafell, and Lewis. "Great job, defense!!" Sike. Caught by Amendola. First down.

To elaborate further on Brady's red zone success, seven of those eight completed passes went for either first downs or touchdowns (touchdowns are credited as first downs by the league). That's pretty impressive.

A lot of football left but it's going to be interesting to see how this year's totals measure up in terms of completion percentage, TDs, etc. The guy is just playing unbelievably well right now.

Yeah, this Tom Brady guy looks like a strong player so far. Low ceiling in my opinion as a 6th round pick, very poor athleticism, and way too old to be a long term solution.

Ok sorry, just laughed at the wording... On a serious note, those are some incredible stats. The at times spotty play by the receivers and o-line has really stopped people from realizing the fact that Brady really is playing at a higher level right now than any quarterback I've ever seen. He was already the GOAT at moving around in the pocket, but this year, he's been so perfect at it. If it has been possible to avoid the rush and find the passing lanes, he's done it. He's making more types of throws than I think we've ever seen in his career, and it seems like he's been more accurate with the throws we're used to seeing.

If his receivers had been a little more consistent, we'd be seeing the historical great numbers. As is he's putting up better numbers than anyone in the NFL. I really think what he did in the Jets game is being drastically underappreciated by the national audience. Hell, I've even heard people say that the Jets did a "decent job" on defense. The fact that Brady was able to carry that game and put up those numbers not only with literally NO running game, but also with NINE+ drops by his receivers. You know what Aaron Rodger's last game would have looked like if you take away 9 completions? 7-29 with barely over 100 yds. Manning? 17-48 and ~200 yds. But what did Brady put up? 34-54 with 355 passing yards. Obviously that's not a rigorous statistical comparison, but seriously: Brady threw catchable balls on almost 80% of his passes on a night with no threat from the running game.

Brady is a monster. He can't be stopped.
