Tom Brady as player coach ? OC next season?

No I am just old and bored. Football is my thing and I like coming here. If they put me on the practice squad as some kind of punishment I will be sad. I assume I will be able to practice real hard and get back to the main board.

I'm just making a little fun. To your question: I don't think he would ever take a coaching job. He once said in an interview that he wouldn't start coaching. And i also think if he would, he would only be a QB-Coach.

I hope they don't banish me

Everyone wants to talk about Brady as a player coach but nobody wants to talk about how the guards blew a 3 TD lead to Paul Crewe and the Mean Machine.

I will talk about it. I am just stuck here doing nothing. Who is the Mean Machine?

Not that I am aware of. One guy threatened to banish me to the practice squad tho. Not sure why.

Be careful. Other message boards constantly scan the internet looking to pick up practice squad posters from Patsfans. You could end up on JetsInsider.

If the mods waive me, will the Jets board take me off the waiver wire??

Actually, you could be a hero if you went and posted all these threads to JetsInsider.

what is a "football Atheist".. I like the sound of it just curious

It came about during the 2012 season. I said at some point before the Super Bowl that year that if the Ratbirds won the Super Bowl and sent the Murderer off with a ring, then there are no football gods.

Hence, I'm a football atheist.

sorry. Being a coach in basketball isn't like being an OC in the NFL.

OCs have a way harder job than any basketball coach ever has had. Being an NFL QB is hard enough.

And no. Peyton was never an OC.
I agree with everything you are saying, but on top of that, this isn't really possible to do successfully in the NBA anymore either. It was already draining on Russell to spend three years of his life both playing and coaching, even taking over with continuity from the greatest coach of that era on a talented veteran NBA team. And the roles of both basketball coaches and basketball players have expanded dramatically and become much more time-consuming and sophisticated since the late 1960's and early 1970's when player-coaching was still common in the NBA. Not quite to the extent that NFL coaches' roles have expanded over the same time, but enough that it wouldn't be fair or productive to foist coaching duties on a basketball player today even if the CBA allowed for it.

You guys may not care but here's a recipe for pancakes:

In bowl, with wire whisk, stir flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, butter, and egg and stir until flour is moistened. Heat griddle or 12-inch skillet over medium heat until drop of water sizzles; brush lightly with oil. Pour batter by scant 1/4 cups onto hot griddle, making a few pancakes at a time.

Turn him into Bill Russell

Great idea, he can spend 80 hours a week getting ready for the game as an OC and another 60 getting ready as a QB, then in game day he can call the play from the sideline then run out for the snap, then run back over to the sideline and look at the chart, then call the play, then run back out for the snap.........

No, but I have it on good authority that there's strong consideration for Tom Brady player/doctor. 24/7 NFL sanctioned cell phone action on the sidelines baby!! They'd outfit his helmet for bluetooth in case he's needed for medical emergencies and there's nothing that Goodell could do about it.

Sure a few players wouls most likely die, but it'd be so worth it.
