In 2009 they were from the '63 season for the 50th anniversary, any other time they are from '85.

I know I'm in the vast minority but I don't like when they wear the throwbacks. I like them and have fond memories of them.....but not enough fond memories. The best days of this franchise have come in the Flying Elvis era. I've been a fan since I was 7 in 75 but whenever I see them in the old uniforms I have this fear they'll revert to 1991.

Agreed. And maybe it's just me, but the team doesn't look as fast in red and white as it does in navy and silver. I think we've beaten New Jersey a lot more in the modern unis than wearing red.

Sweet!! I prefer the '63 ones but either is great. I assume this means they are going to wear them once a year from now on. Silver alternates were so lame.

Well the defense may remind you of the 91 defense the way its going so the throwbacks may fit well the bill on the defensive side

The only reason I support the Pats is because of the red uniforms. To explain. I watched my first NFL game on UK TV back in around 1982. A team in red (Pats) were playing a team in white (no idea who). Red was my favourite colour at the time so I decided to cheer the team in red. 29 years later I'm still cheering for them. I therefore have an emotional attachment to the red uniforms. That said I prefer the current colours and do agree with the argument that the red uniform brings back memories of sucking.
