Ya know when you look at a clip, when it's over you notice clips being offered on a similar topic. Well I forget the clip that GOT me to this clip, but I thought it was worthwhile to share with the "thinking Pats fan"

Now this guy represents the point of view that one of the reasons the Pats win so often is that their opponents often crap the bed in critical moments. To his credit, he takes the time to make a good case for his hypothesis, and he does it without denigrating the Pats in the process.

Actually I really like this guy's work, even though he likes the Eagles this game. Later this week, he alludes to a break down in how the Eagles can win this game. I look forward to seeing it, and hope I stumble across it, like I did this one. If someone sees it sooner, please, by all means, post it here. The guy does good work, and you can make a $25 dollar bet at his sponsors' site for free.

So while this one won't make you smile, it should make you..

The Pats are in the heads of their opponents long before they take the field and it only gets worse once the game starts. Who will ever forget 'They got Tom Brady though" or Carroll and his staff losing their collective minds as the clock was winding down and they were expecting Belichick to call a TO that he had no intention of calling because it kept the heat on them?

That was hillarious. He did the same to Pittsburgh

I stopped watching. No offense..at some point, it has to be what ne does to induce the mindmelding element, as opposed to “bad playcalling or a d refusing to use “their bread and butter”...that is sort of a black znd white and childish deduction.

There are things that go down that some people don’t see...like, why was bouye playing way off cooks?

To not show it was man on the outside and because cooks is really fast. Makes sense, then brady just takes the 7 yard comeback route. It is what you show and what you are trying to accomplish as a coordinator and brady is brady witha ton of approaches at his disposal. That is why jax’d ended up losing.

Some of these teams are delusional and arrogant, as are the analysts covering these games.

Or, the idea, ne has a good run game and if you play too much man, your corners are left with their backs to the line of scrimmage.

Why did jack take the cheese in man on white into the flat? Stay in the zone, drop to the sticks and brady probably can’t hit amendola on 3rd and 18.

Let us not pretend jax believes in the high iq player. They are Baltimore junior and the pats are not rebuilding in 2017.

How about not running your mouth all week and before the game? Teams still do it as if they think it means something.

I'm having trouble getting past his stats at the 3 minute mark. His hypothesis is that there was a change in philosophy from man to zone when NE started to score at the end of the second half.

His slide shows before that point the Jags played 31% man, but after 24% man. That's a difference of 2 snaps, and doesn't show any philosopical shift in how often they played man at all.

I liked the video but i don't feel it gave the Patriot enough credit. Also i signed up on that site. It wouldn't let me do a prop bet

I had to take the 5 over on the Patriots. Don't let me down guys!

Good clip. I disagree with the premise that the rub routes scared Jax into zone. I think Jax went zone to keep everything in front of them, daring the Pats to move the sticks consistently against a talented and fast D while Jax lead by 10. The zone definitely muted the RBs in the passing game. Also, with no Gronk, the risk of getting torched up the seam greatly diminished. Where Jax royally effed up was letting Amendola eat it alive.

Regards,
Chris

I've said since the game that Jax was coaching scared when they knelt at the end of the second half. The problem with this guy's hypothesis is that the Jax coaches were right. Brady and Belichick were countering their man with rub routes and got a big play on 4th and 1, so it made sense to use it sparingly or try to disguise it, or better yet, run a man-outside, zone-inside scheme, especially once Gronk went down. Brady simply beat them with the mismatch he had; Amendola.
