Hope I didn't miss this in another thread, but the Pats have risen to third in team scoring in the NFL (397 points), only behind the Saints (432) and the Giants (408). When you consider the Pats have no defensive TDs and only one ST TD all season, the offense may actually rank above the Giants and close to the Saints in scoring.

The defense is a mediocre 13th, no surprise there I guess, but not all that bad considering all the injuries, but this only further dramatizes the job that Matt has done filling in for that injured-best-player-in-the-league guy (what's his name? ).

I was considering resurrecting the thread about whether a Cassel led offense would ever score more than 30 points in a game or something to that effect, but decided not to torture anyone in this way. 'tis the season and all that.
