BUT, WHO COULD HELP US MOST NOW?
I'd start with any player who excels on special teams.
SS Chung, is my favorite prospect and has played on all ST units. In addition, I'm certain he'd receive numerous reps in most of BB's sub-packages, as his tackling skills and aggressiveness may be most welcomed in the secondary. It's these qualities that make him a solid round two prospect w/ less emphasis on him being a future starter.
WR Brandon Tate, is no longer a sleeper, as he's among the Pats official visits. Only a day two gamble, he's currently ahead of schedule healing from his knee injury. Strictly a developmental prospect as a receiver, he offers immediate value as a returner, as
he holds the all-time NCAA combined kick yardage record for punt and kick returns, returning 6 for TDs. IMO, he'd be better as the primary punt returner. When we think of how Bethel was a developmental prospect as a receiver, the primary kick off returner, and was selected in round two, I doubt BB would have a problem spending a day two pick on a solid returner, as long as he has a chance to develop at his position.
There are several more prospects who may offer immediate contribution, but I'd always start with ST ability.
