We need Mcourty to really ballhawk the deep throws this game. One interception and Flacco's deep ball will shrivel.
Must . . . resist . . . obvious joke . . .

To those poo pooing the Ravens' offense please remember the Pats were one muffed kick away from elimination against last season's "less explosive" offense.

As a Pats fan, I cant believe you have been brainwashed by the media.
We were one muffed kick away from overtime... not elimination.
I'm not sure why we would even attempt to disregard the Raven's offensive performances in the past few weeks. After all, if they did it to the Giants, Colts, and Broncos, why CAN'T it happen to the Patriots, too? Because we have more faith in our secondary than those other teams did? I'm sure those other teams also felt good about their defense's ability to contain the Ravens offense. After all, apparently Champ Bailey was absolutely convinced he would shut down Torrey Smith, and we all see what happened there.
Why can't we just acknowledge that the Ravens offense has been playing well and should concern the Patriots defense? Let's not write those performances off as a fluke, the results speak for themselves.
Who knows, right now the Baltimore fans could be trying to theorize how the Patriots offense isn't as good as the results of showed either. Their arguments could be.....
1.) Their offense destroyed Houston twice, but Houston was playing a terrible stretch.
2.) The offense struggled in both the Jaguars game and in the San Fran game (until SF went into prevent mode).
3.) The Miami finale can be discreditted because that was a glorified scrimmage.
They could making all the above points, but they would be wrong to convince themselves that the Pats are not good offensively.

The fact that I was mistaken does not equate to being brainwashed by the media. You are correct the fact the WR could not hold to the ball ensured the kick would've only tied it, I stand corrected. Anyone who dares bring up that the Pats did not dominate that game and were fortunate to win is either a chicken little or a media lemming, is that how it goes?
It's ok to predict that the Pats will win and that it will be a very tough game, really it's ok, no one will show up at your door to confiscate your SuperFan membership card.
Ravens fan here, just lurking. Youve got to be kidding me with the Bengals comment right? With saying stuff like this you will no longer be taken serious. Look at the game we actually participated in, we BLEW them out. We didnt care about that game and it was evident in us resting starters after a few series. We wanted the Colts and thought that was our best chance. Heres to an injury free game Sunday and may the best team win.
It will go down a bit different than this forum thinks, thats for sure.
Good day now.
What I wrote was accurate. What you're writing is a justification. There's nothing wrong with offering one, but the facts remain the facts. If you're talking about the "new" offense, you're talking about the games from Denver onward:
17
33
17
24
38 (5+ quarters)
That's up and down, and not particularly explosive. Given the thread title, I'd say that's relevant.
Well, sure, but that's the thing with small sample sizes. In that sample, game (1) was Caldwell's first game as OC, game (3) the starters were rested, and game (4) wasn't that close - offense is trying to shorten the game, not score points. You could also look at those numbers and say hey, after week 1, Caldwell's offense has figured out how to score points when we need them.
Of course, fans from both sides will always gravitate to the statistics that favor them. I do the same.
