We’re over 200 posts now. Who are people proposing to be the new GM?
I haven’t seen any rational posts claiming Bill should step down as GM but you would have to be a huge homer to suggest he has nailed these recent drafts. We’re over 200 posts now. Who are people proposing to be the new GM?
I’m talking about the first two sentences of the first post.I haven’t seen any rational posts claiming Bill should step down as GM
Oh well in that case I am certainly not advocating Bill step down. I just want him to re-evaluate the things he values in certain positions.I’m talking about the first two sentences of the first post.

Patten and it’s not even close. So i was having an argument with someone as to who has made more of a contribution patten with the pats in the early 2000s or dorsett with these pats. Who would you say? I said patten because of the numbers. He has dwarfed anything dorsett has done here. Would you agree?

That’s what i told him. People forget how importan patten was to those teams. They didn’t have man great receivers but he helped that offense. His numbers are superior to dorsett.
Read the first two sentences. Tell me an available GM to accomplish that. That’s all I’m trying to get here, a name. What's wrong with what the OP said he's not wrong. How comes other Teams hit on Second Rounders and we are loaded with flame outs?? Winning covers everything?? Well we didn't win it all this year.
I wonder whether our latest shift to take better advantage of the value that was out there (the mid-level FA market) has had an unexpected downside to it in that it has coincided with down years in drafting somehow.
Our team was on the younger side in the league not so long ago IIRC, and now we're one of the oldest. (Found a source - apparently we ARE the oldest team in the league: Ranking NFL teams by age after 53-man cutdowns: 2019 edition)
Our lack of top-end speed seems something that puts us at a disadvantage against the Ratbirds and Chiefs, while we were unable to smashmouth against big and tough teams like Tennessee. Are we stuck somewhere in the middle where we can't get past those sorts of teams on the edges of that spectrum but can beat everyone in-between? If so, we're going to have difficulty winning #7.
We'll also be lousier after we lose these players. Is age the issue?
No problem.
We'll be a lot younger when/if we lose Brady, Edelman, Watson, Dorsett, Van Noy, Collins, Chung and the McCourty brothers.
