The top 51 are all above a cap of $1M. Of course, that would be a team with only 3 OL's: Wynn, Andrews and Brown.

Add Onwenu and Horan and we have 53.

That the start before the draft.

Many of the top 51 will not make the 53.

THESE ELEVEN ARE IN THE TOP 51 (or 53 if we include Onwenu and Herron)
Harry
Asiasi
Keene
Williams
Jennings
Ekuale
Uche
Tavai
Cajuste
Langi
Cowart
==================
If ALL the above 11 are replaced by draft choices and new free agents, these also would not be on the 53 man roster
Wade
Taylor
Bryant
Ferentz
Wade
McGrone
Dejarlais
Sherman
Hambright

TBF, though, that's gonna be true for most if not all teams. This year, the minimum salary for all veteran players (4+ years) is >$1M. By 2026, it'll be everyone except first-year players.

???

I checked 6 teams
TEAMS WHOSE PLAYERS IN THE TOP 51 HAVE A CAP OF UNDER ONE MILLION
LAR 22
NO 14
SF 14
ARI 15
NEP 0

The point is that the patriots tend the spread the cap and have fewer at the bottom of the food chain.

This can't be true. It is absolutely true and common knowledge that the Patriots are "cheap."
