Each guitar offers you a different voice, almost a different self through which to play. It gets pretty addictive. I have even more guitars than your kid, but then I've been at it for - yikes - 60 years. There are exceptions, of course, who stick with the same instrument - usually a Telecaster or a Stratocaster or a Les Paul or an-ES 335 or a big fat hollowbody, but they always worked their way through a number of others before they found their voice.

Raiders are in a division with very good to elite QB's/HC's. They are not picking at the top of the draft in an already weak QB class. Essentially 17 road games per year. I'm unsure what they have to offer.

And Mark Davis is paying the contracts of the past 2 HC's. He's by no means poor, but is one of the least wealthy owners in the NFL.

I am starting to get worried that we won't get either Vrabel or Johnson. RKK needs to remember that he got what he paid for last year and will continue to pay for that mistake for the next 4 years.

The Raiders' job isn't good because they don't have a QB and are too low in the draft to get one unless they give up a lot to move up.

The job will look like a great challenge if they are willing to pay $5m more per year.

The amount of money Vrabel will get from either the Pats or the Raiders will make it not worth it. Sure he might make more with the Raiders, but he could also be fired after a couple of years if they don't get him a QB.

The Pats have the QB. It gives him more security. Might give him far more money long term.

I hope that's because it's already a done deal with their new HC and they're just dotting the I's and crossing the T's. Not to mention the new HC is lining up as much of his new staff as he can, Etc.

I've got a Les Paul Standard and Fender Strat and hate the rosewood necks on my guitars because the wood feels soft under the strings. I wish I had Maple instead.

I think that Vrabel will face much lower expectations with the Raiders. As long as the team isn't a sideshow comedy like it has been recently, he will get the opportunity to rebuild. Especially with Brady in the picture.

Too me it’s all about the sound your getting out of the wood
Rosewood gives you a warmer and rich tone
Maple is a brighter tone
As I said I play acoustic mostly and the songs I play emphasize the warmer tone
If I were solely playing electric. Brighter may be the way to go because of the songs being played on it

A maple fretboard on a Les Paul is a rarity. Some 70's and 80's Customs had them. Recently, some ES Les Pauls had baked maple boards But, not a lot in total. I've been playing for 60 years, and still suck

Yes agree about Les Paul. My Strat has rosewood. It's a '62 replica build by Fender around 1981 (i bought it new). I might trade it in for a Tele with Maple.
