The belief that NFL started operations in 1970, conveniently omitting the first four sorry decades of that franchise. Also, they've repeated it enough times that they now believe if they win Sunday they will have the most ever NFL championships; but it will leave them two behind rival Cleveland and only half way to Green Bay's twelve - in 5th place. I mentioned this on different occasions to three Steeler fans at work and not one of them was aware of it; they all thought I was full of it.
