Exactly why i said we have to let Jones do for us what Houston allow Watt to do. Forget scheming just let the guy go after the QB and see what happens. Whenever i watch Houston it seems like 10 of the D have their playbook and then Watt has his own.
So far the OL has showed up, and that was my main worry. If they hold up in the second half, it'll go a long way toward addressing the concerns for this team. the run D still looks suspect, but if that's the team's biggest weakness, then that's manageable.
If we can start to pressure QB's immediately off the snap and others start to get involved in the passing game, this team will look just like the one we all envisioned. The scary part is, this team still has alot to improve on and the time to really gel.
I love that our D and special teams essentially put more points on the board than our O that half (McCourty taking it to the one goes to the D IMO). If you`re getting tangible contributions from those phases it makes it much more difficult for the other team to come back. Now please let`s not have another `Tale of Two Halfs`!
