Game Day Thread The Official Patriots vs Texans game thread

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Yeah, well, that's far from a given. And the Patriots conceivably could lose to Miami and/or Baltimore. You just can't afford to lose to teams that are down like Houston. Games like this down the stretch are what define a season.

yup. Can't lose to a 2-9 team after thanksgiving and expect the bye. And i still see them losing to balt and or MIA...

Remember those games are on the road where the pats blow

we can't keep digging holes and just expect to come out and win....

I don't think the team believes that. It's hard to win in the nfl. People here are pissed if pats don't win every game 59-0.

Or, as 2004 showed, maybe not.

Also, whether Boyce sucks or not doesn't prevent me from being happy by just seeing him play. Better to see now than in a playoff game.

I am stuck in Fort Lauderdale watching the Jets and Fins stink out the joint.

That is definitely a real good example of he((!...what r u watching that crap for? I would rather watch cricket or that shuffleboard on ice...what is it....curling?

Terrible miss by Edelman on that deep pass that would have put the Pats 1st and goal.

This game is totally over. This team is horrible. Fire McDaniels. Fire BB. Fire Both Krafts. Brady is done. What kind of play calling is this? I cannot watch another minute. The season is over. Too many injuries. We need Welker.

Did I miss anything?

come playoffs you think digging a 20 pt hole at half is going to work? Because it's not. This stretch right now shows what teams are made of

Even in the Super Bowl years, the Pats have seemed to lose to one bad team each year or almost every year. One more loss is not the end of the world.

But watching the Texans this year, this game is far from over. They are the opposite of the Pats. They play well in the first half and fall apart in the second half.

Comic relief:

Rich Cimini ?@RichCimini 2m
This is staggering: Miami ran more plays (50) in the first half than the Jets have total yards (39).

Does anyone know the names of the announcers?

Re: Re: The Official Patriots vs Texans game thread

He didn't look close at all. And he was sprinting his butt off to get there.

He was probably five yards off. I agree that it's unreasonable to expect him to get to that.

The team is too beat up. yeah they came back vs miami and denver but at home and houston is a better defense. This game doesnt bother me much win or loss but looking forward where we have miami and baltimore on the road with this defense, its not a good sign this late in the season.

Forgot to mention Woodhead and Hightower.

I wish we had Petesy Carroll back chewing his gum and being cool

The defense sucks ---officials suck

sooooooooooooo, benching Ridley looks like a smart move Im very aware that the Texans are terrible in the 2nd half, but if I had to guess they won't do us the favor of sucking. Case Keenum will continue to make this defense look weak. the texans defense are only rushing 4 and getting physical with our receivers, that is brady's kryptonite. This game will come down to the defense.

Terrible miss by Edelman on that deep pass that would have put the Pats 1st and goal.

The Brady INT would have been a TD if he got enough air on it. That said, woulda coulda shoulda. They have to make those plays.

Why does this team never show up for one half or the other?

Patriots were solid for the whole Panthers game IMO. Just got out-coached on possessions.
