Maybe pats should have done the same to buy Brady more time. Have to adjust your play to what refs allow.

But they allowed the Packers to do anything they wanted and the Pats couldn't breathe near a Packers player without flags flying.

they were 0-4 in the redzone inspite of all the flags and 3rd down conversions. Cant ask more than that from the D. If the offense was more in sync and gotten a lead to put pressure on the packers , this defense wouldve played even better.

Stepping back and cooling off....only giving up 3 to the Pack in the 2nd half isn't bad at all. Hopefully Chiefs win tonight. I doubt Chiefs can win out if we slip up. That San Diego game is huge with the Chargers now in position to make the playoffs with that win today over the ratburds.

That last score in the first half was the difference maker

That's true except for ravens and giants

Indeed, and I'm noticing a number of people mentioning we'll fend better on a neutral field.
Do you guys realize how much of the country hates the Patriots?
I remember vividly the last Giants superbowl how much of the stadium was rooting for the Giants.

We lost to them now. So if we meet in SB then we'll win as we never lose twice to the same team in a season.

What are the odds of converting 4th and 18? 5%?

I dono but I like them better than the alternative.

Had we stopped GBP on third, where do we get the ball? Playing it safe let's assume at the 20.

80 yards in 2 mins and no time outs? Pass

Great game. I thought the offense was inconsistent, idn't seem to have a plan. Don't think we could expect much better defense. We're still short our best pass rusher. Pass before the half was a killer, but Revis got beat once in a game. It happens.

Better buck up for San Diego, and the division games.

Hate to lose one, but this has been a great stretch of games.

The secondary played good enough, but the d line contributed virtually nothing in the pass game.

IMO, the Pats called the game today like they thought they were the better team and that talent would win out. They stayed conservative until the last drive, and that's just a foolish way to approach a game in Green Bay. They would've been better served with a high-variance gameplan that took some risks to try to be more competitive in TOP.

Going into this game, it was a mistake not to recognize their inability to get the Packers off the field in less than 5-6 minutes per drive. Credit is due for tightening up and preventing TDs in the red zone, but the offense needed to be more concerned with TOP, and they established that they weren't from the moment they punted on 4th and 1 from the 50 in the first half.

This defense played as well as it could reasonably be expected to in Lambeau. It's a real shame that the offensive decision-making didn't reflect that.

I believe they stopped the Pack just once inside on the GB side of the 50. Frustrating -- bad field position for the O all night long.

You're joking, right?
Definitely exaggerated but, this kid has his work cut out for him in practice. Could have been a lot worse for him if Adams and Rodgers had hooked up on a few open passes in the endzone.

Seriously that last red zone was sickening. Stop going for the home run with Gronk in the endzone and chip away 4 yards at a time. It was 4 down territory.
100% agree. We had good rythym getting those short plays. Run the clock down and punch it in.

We did. 2011 to giants.
