There's no room for a slant. Jets were dropping their LBs into a zone.

Its not a surprise the run game is working when everyone is back in coverage it seems (also the reason it seems no-one is open).

By rolling out, Brady changed the angle. With Brady in the pocket, he can't make that throw to Welker--it gets picked. Then he rolls out, no one containing him, and Lankster also has to respect Brady running it in from 4 yards out. Bad play by Lankster but really he was in no man's land.
