The Miami Dolphins

I can say with assurance that this division will not be a cakewalk,I actually think the winner of this division will have a 11-5 record with the runner up likely being no more than 1 or 2 games back.

The Pats to me appear to be a 11-5 team,I think that would be good enough to win the East.

I don't see ANY AFC team better than 12-4 .....this could be that type of year where no team stands out and tiebreakers will decide the top seeds.

Last time a division rival has been this hyped up, they knocked us out of the playoffs in our own stadium despite still not winning the division.

If the division isn't a cakewalk then the Patriots are in trouble because other than the Browns those are the easiest games on their schedule. The worst I see them in this division is 5-1 and that is a cakewalk division.

Which was as much a statement about the Pats as it was the Jests that year. We won't know until mid season what the Pats are, but at this point I expect them to be considerable better than the year you are referring to, especially the D and the running game, both of which still matter in the playoffs.

I'm guessing the fins go 9-7, and would not be surprised at 8-8 or 10-6. I would be very surprised to see them better or worse than that.

The Patriots are better than an 11-5 team. No one else in the AFCE is going to sniff 11 wins. I know it's vegas, but vegas has the Patriots as favorites in every game this season- the only team to be so. Not that means we will win every game by any measure, but it shows that at worst we are close in all of our hard games. Brady has shown he's never going to go 0-5 or 1-4 against good teams in a season. He's more likely to go 5-0 or 4-1.

The Patriots are absolutely a 12 win team this year. Miami overachieving would be 10-6.

The Jets had been a very good team for a while at that point.

2008 they were the best team in the NFL until Favre's arm fell off.
2009 they were the best team in the NFL in every way except QB. By far best pass defense and rushing attack in the NFL. Run defense was also very good.
2010 they regressed, but were still a very good team.
2011-2012 was when the inevitable wheels fell off due to overpaid big names consuming space and lack of depth from constantly trading up/trading picks hit them.

I was honestly surprised they lasted even that long. But they were loaded on the OL, RB, DL, #1CB, FB and were good at LB, CB2/3.
