The Gambler & his Cowboys vs The Dynasty

Won't be watching....don't care for the Cowboys, but yeah 'Dynasty' was a hit piece....

The book was much much better.....

Spygate and Deflategate played out in real time in the media. There is very little that any of the documentaries have revealed that we didn’t know already. Same with Tom vs Bill to a certain extent. But only Tom and Bill were inches last six years.
The question is which franchise has more **** go on.

Jerry Jones hubris has put his franchise in limbo for the last thirty years since he ran Jimmy out of town.

Being able to afford a team doesn’t mean you know football.

Bob deserves credit for learning from his mistake with Parcells, for hiring well since and getting out of the way. Jonathan learned it hopefully as well the past few years. Hire professionals and let them do their job.

I haven't finished it but so far pretty enjoyable and well made - Jerry Jones is a genius businessman but his ego was his downfall regarding on the field success, dumbass.

Irvin was such a magnificent receiver, if it came down to him, Rice or Moss.. I might have to pick Irvin to go and make that catch.

That wasn't the Beatles. That was post-Beatles John Lennon.
<shrug> I'm not worried about historical accuracy, just a laugh. Anyway now that I've been clued in I'll fix my sig.

Just finished the series and really enjoyed it. I have to agree with others that it was better then the Dynasty and that comes down to a few things:

1) Time - time allows for perspective and the Dynasty was way to soon. Bill was completely buttoned up and didn’t give anything. The issue though is Kraft is in his 80’s and Bill in his 70’s. They may not have another decade to wait.

2) The Characters - Cowboys had way more charisma. Jerry Jones, Jimmy Johnson, and Barry Switzer have way more charisma than Kraft and Bill. Aikman, Emmit, Irvin, Deion…aside from Brady and maybe Gronk the Pats don’t have the big name charismatic players the Cowboys did.

3) The production was better - it was a smart move to go deep into the Cowboys/49ers rivalry and to give the 49ers players a lot of screen time. It really built up that rivalry and made for great TV. I wish they would have done that with the Colts. They also spoke more freely.
