I'm a little suprised at all the hate for the silver jerseys. I don't mind them at all.

I think the reason may be that they don't look very good on TV. Not even HDTV.

They look really sharp up close. I think the Pats should use them as road jerseys instead of white.

Hmmm. I doubt Robert Kraft is crunching the numbers in order to get cheaper logos on the sides of the helmets of his billion dollar team. But you might be right

Not to mention that it actually is cheaper. Pat Patriot was I believe only 3 colors- red, white, and blue. The new logo added silver. With both already being vectorized, the only additional cost would've been the addition of the extra color from the printers, and I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the NFL's vendors probably cut them some sort of a quantity break.
