The fallacy of "uncatchable."

I don't know how I'm trolling when the facts are there. Why didn't Brady get fined for cussing out the ref on National TV?
Please find me all of the times a player or coach has been fined for what they said on TV.

because the NFL caters to New England. That's why.

Yea, they were catered out of 2 games so far this season. Dumass. I think your moms calling. Your mac and cheese and grape juice are ready. It's a school night, time to get ready for beddy bye.

You are even dumber than I thought LOL

Rodney, you are totally trolling now. We have had the refs cost us 2 games. They don't cater to us. But being a bills fan, it says it all.......

Look people, RodentD thought he had a valid point using a fake put-on link but unfortunately he missed...wide right.

Callahan wrote a good article on it in today's Herald, Callahan: Non-call interferes with logic | Boston Herald
The non-call is what I posted the other day. Thus, all the NFL fans, regardless of what color you team wears on game day, cannot complain when a flag is not thrown for interference. Of course, the flag will be thrown, and we can all say "hypocrites".

****ty pass, anyone who watches the play can see that Brady rushes and can't set his base. Short, picked and the Panthers deserved to win. Forget the pass interference and move on, Pats had plenty of chances to win that game and they didn't.

The saddest part of the whole thing is that we the fans missed out on the drama of one final play. Win or lose what a great ending to a great game that would have been.

Nope. The link is meant as a joke because that's how the rest of the league views the Tom Brady and the Patriots.

We just attract all the MENSA candidates after a loss, don't we?

While that may be true, the argument is that the right call was made before the flag was picked up. This will be an embarrassment for the NFL. Win or lose, these posts are not even written if the right call is made. Win or a loss is irrelevant when the referee decides the fate of a game by not going by the rules.

Do you think anyone actually ever says anything nice to a ref? They get cursed at more than anyone on the field and I've never seen a fine for it.

The only fine i've ever seen involving a ref was physical interaction, such as BB grabbing one by the arm.

Brady not being fined isn't bias, its consistency.

To me, that ball would have been intercepted no matter what Luke Kuechly did or didn't do. Gronk's momentum was taking him to the back of the endzone anyway. No way in hell he comes back to that ball to catch it in a million years, or even prevent the INT. That would defy the laws of physics. That ball was going to be intercepted no matter what from the moment it was thrown.

I'm saying that it wasn't pass interference, in my opinion. And, yeah, the ball WAS uncatchable, except for the guy that intercepted it.

However, I think that it WAS defensive holding. I can't see how they don't call THAT, especially when the flag was already thrown. The ball should have been placed on the Carolina 13-yardline (not the goal-line), and the Patriots should have gotten one more play...1st-and-10 at the 13, with one more shot. According to the rules, that's the thing that should have happened.

Who knows what would have happened on the ensuing play? No reason to think that the call itself was the reason the Patriots lost the game, even if you DO think it was pass interference. What happened was that bad officiating took away the Patriots last play...the last chance at a winning TD. And that's just based on the stupidity of Kuechly, who didn't even affect the actual play itself. I understand the frustration, but some people act 100% certain that this call decided the game. It didn't. It just took away the Patriots last opportunity, in my opinion. Scoring a TD on the 13-yardline in one play when it means the game is not a high-percentage proposition.

Some people try to liken this call to the "pushing into the pile" call in the Jets game, too. While heartbreaking, it was the rules. Talk about the tuck rule instead, which help to trigger a dynasty. The Pats will make the playoffs anyway. No way they don't win the division again.

uh...the tuick rule was correct...the tuck rule was called many times over the years..the tuck rule was called against the Pats in their game with the Jets THAT season.

Tuck rule has NOTHING to do with this...as far as not pass interference...uh..WUT?

Not really.....

Seems some "fans:" do not know the NFL pass interference rules...here's the link from the league...and here are the situations that constitute PASS INTERFERENCE.

Actions that constitute defensive pass interference include but are not limited to:

(a) Contact by a defender who is not playing the ball and such contact restricts the receiver’s opportunity to make the catch.

(b) Playing through the back of a receiver in an attempt to make a play on the ball.

(c) Grabbing a receiver’s arm(s) in such a manner that restricts his opportunity to catch a pass.

(d) Extending an arm across the body of a receiver thus restricting his ability to catch a pass, regardless of whether the defender is playing the ball.

(e) Cutting off the path of a receiver by making contact with him without playing the ball.

(f) Hooking a receiver in an attempt to get to the ball in such a manner that it causes the receiver’s body to turn prior to the ball arriving.

That's not a judgment call. That's a "pressured" call to get out alive. Cowardly and wrong. Everyone but the officials and Chris Carter, know it.

You are right....and if ANYONE was going to complain after a missed catch it was Chris "crybaby" Carter....He was insufferable when he played! Made Danny Ainge look like General George Patton.

Firstly, we should not be talking about whether the ball was UNCATCHABLE or not here. We should be talking about whether a defensive player was BLATANTLY HOLDING OR INTERFERING WITH A offensive player on the play. Did Keuchly do that? YES....and that should have been called and the pats should have had one more play.

Problem here is that when you let something like this go...you will now have defenders just blatantly HOL/MUG a receiver and take their chances as to whether it is deemed catchable or not.

I will say this about Gronk...if he wasn't being bear hugged and bullrushed to the back of the endzone Monday night...he could have made a play....if he was NOT INTERFERED with...he could have very easily been AT or near the point where the guy who INT the ball was.....but we will never know...

There are still Tuckheads around? I thought they were extinct.
