Belichick inherited a program fresh off six bowl appearances in a row but showed an inept grasp of player management in building one of the weakest rosters in the ACC. The Tar Heels won just two league games and ended the year with three losses in a row to their biggest rivals.

Utter failure to only get 4 wins with that cupcake schedule. Deserved the F.

His people around the NFL are spreading the usual rumors, trying to get his name on the radar, but that’s likely less an expression of legitimate interest at that level than Belichick trying desperately to engineer a way out. He doesn’t want to be here any more than UNC still wants him or his headline-hungry girlfriend around. And sticking around will inevitably mean sacrificing some of the people on his staff, which defeats the whole point of the grift. What’s the point of doing this job if you can’t have your friends and your sons and your friends’ sons on the gravy train too?

Last night's episode of "Elsbeth" is straight outta NC.

The funniest thing is that the murderer was the head coach i.e. BB. One of his "bad guy" things is recording conversations in the locker room without anyone's knowledge - which they call "Tapegate".

My guess - the producer is a Jets fan.
