The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

So a bunch of people were doing favors for Bill while him and his girlfriend **** all over them? Sounds like Bill.

Bill must believe people are stupid or have been in space for the last 6+ years.

Grok Imagine says this is Jordon Hudson.

Airball.....

Snubbed by the league he once dominated, Belichick headed to the college ranks this year expecting success. Instead, he has thus far produced a stumbling, embarrassing soap opera of a season. The Tar Heels are 2-3 and desperately lack talent after losing 39 players from last year's team and bringing in more than 40 transfers. They head to Cal on Friday as 10.5-point underdogs.

The jokes are frequent. So too is the schadenfreude. Most notably, though, the scene in Chapel Hill provides validation for NFL teams, which, after Belichick and the Patriots parted ways after the 2023 season, uniformly passed on hiring him.

Bill's fastball has become slo-pitch softball now. He left here thinking some NFL team would buy into his GOATness and give him a job, but nope, none did. According to the article, not a one trusted him to stay in his lane and coach, they all felt one way or another he'd ***** and moan till he got control over personnel too.

Clearly what they saw of his late-period drafts made them realize giving him control over personnel would be a disaster. And now, UNC is verifying that. He no longer has the acumen and/or the energy to put together a decent roster, and the whole football world is roasting him for it.

I do wonder what role Kraft's "*******" comment played in all of this. That comment made the rounds in 2021. Kraft fired him in 2024 and that's obviously not an endorsement. Also in 2025 Bill came closest to getting another NFL gig, in Atlanta. It's also when Kraft was rumored to warn Blank that Bill was cold and untrustworthy. Now in 2025 it's clear that Kraft did Blank a solid.

Remember when everyone got bent out of shape because Kraft called Belichick the biggest ******* he ever met?
Kraft calling Bill an ******* wasn't helpful. He should have kept that to himself.

It's sad to see what's happening with Bill and Bob. They should have ended it more respectfully.

Bill is losing it . I hope his sons drive some sanity to him and make him quit while he still has some goodwill.

It's embarrassing now . Donno how his reception would be if he returned to Foxborough . I am sure the standing ovation that he got during Brady's ceremony might not be replicated .

He needs to do a Mayo and just disappear off the radar.

In an ideal world I'd agree. However, one of them is proving that they were every bit as unbearably unpleasant as the other always alluded to. Everyone has their tipping point and Kraft took it for years for the sake of the franchise and because of the aura of Bill Belichick being untouchable. He even sided with Bill at the end and basically gave him the go ahead to coach the team at the expense of Brady who was absolutely done with him. Most franchises would tell their HC they are giving the GOAT QB the contract they want and they can either deal with it or find a new job. Kraft also gave Bill unprecedented control for a franchise that no other coach was afforded in the Super Bowl era (MAYBE Brown when he created the Bengals had that control).

Instead of just being grateful that he had a good thing going, he decided to play the smug kid in class who pushed disrespect as far as he could because he knew he could get away with it. It's not a shock that there was ill will.

There's a lesson to be learned about how you act and treat people when you have power. Because now the guy who was beyond reproach is vulnerable and all the people he treated like dogshit who could have softened the blows for him right now are getting their moment to double down on it and make it as visible as possible so that it's a big part of the story.

I'm wondering what Bill did to Pablo Torres. That guy seems to be on the warpath.

I don’t think it’s out of the question at all that Bill is denied on the first ballot for the HOF. In an ideal world he would be a lock but the media pile-on is relentless and these are the voters. His bimbo Bunny is doing him no favors. Today’s embarrassment - case in point.

Maybe it really is best if he quits and disappears for a while… that could save his reputation and get him into Canton quickly once the circus leaves town.

But realistically, I think they know that it will just swing the pendulum around to them being the bad guys again if they try to pull something like that. There's realistically no way he doesn't get in. You just open up too many questions.

THAT SAID, if they wanted to be ****s, they could induct him the same year they induct Kraft so he has to share the moment and all the pictures of the class and have his bust next to his. Basically, "yeah you have to play nice with this guy you obviously hate and all your players who would say good things about you will say the same about him if not more so and your options are to either take it in exchange for getting the honor, or ruining the final real NFL moment you'll ever have by throwing a fit and no showing". Basically make him suck it up or he makes himself look like a moron

Heh never thought of that. Can you imagine if they did lol

I don’t know of anything specifically involving Torre, but Bill has spent the last quarter century treating the media like pond scum….
