lol. If you think that joke hurt my feelings you need to pull your head out of your ass so you can see more clearly. I’m not such a snowflake my feelings get bruised by mudslinging between two folks I don’t know, and observing that someone took thirty years for a payback has nothing to do with feelings anyway. But the fact that you think either of those, or worse both, just explains a lot to me. Thanks for the insight.

Once again, a bully is a bully, and people blaming Cabot for taking a shot at Belichick are missing that point. He’s a great coach, he’s also an *******, and has always treated people poorly. There was a reason Brady and Gronk didn’t want to play for him anymore, and it wasn’t money, it was because he’s such a dour ******* that he made life miserable for people.

No one questions that he inherited a mediocre team at best - so the ball is in his court to show how much more he can get out of another guy's players.

Sadly, because of his self-created pressure, people will judge him a failure for a mediocre season one, as unfair as that would be.

I was pretty critical of Bill and HC's in general during the BvsB conflict here, but I came around.

Good players and good athletes will be successful in the NFL regardless of collegiate scheme so this doesn't mean a whole lot (see all the talent Saban sent to the NFL to a variety of teams with radically different defenses).

I think the big factor with Belichick, much like Saban, is more the preparation/work ethic needed/fundamentals of what the NFL demands married with techniques and knowledge of what an NFL system demands mentally. It may not necessarily be a 1:1 perfect scheme fit match from UNC to say the Seattle Seahawks or Green Bay Packers or Indianapolis Colts or Denver Broncos.
