OK, I believe the Belichick considers the TE position to be an important part of the offense, even while having a FB.
I am fine with 4 WR's, since 3 receive almost all the reps. However, I understand that this is a passing league, and that 5 is reasonable, although 5 usually has someone like Patterson as a 5th. This year, the injury and suspension issues dictate carrying a 5th WR in addition to any WR's on the PUP or PS.
With regard to TE, since we do NOT have enough strength at OT backup, we should carry 3 TE's; one will go when Watson is ready to integrated into the offense. We could go down to 2 if we had 4 solid OT, one of which could be the 6 OL/3rd TE.
Belichick's preference seems to be LeCosse, so if he is ready, he should be on the 53. If he is not, he will likely be on the roster for a day, perhaps instead of Hoyer, and then put on IR. I suspect that the second TE is Kendricks. The 3rd is likely to be Izzo, but could be Saubert.
===========
I suppose if LeCosse is very healthy and Belichick likes Kendricks a lot, we could go with 2 TE's with Izzo and Beck on the PS. We would then be in good shape when Watson arrives.

Finally, if everyone but Watson is found to be wanting or injured, then Belichick will acquire a veteran TE before Game 2, or perhaps even before Game 1.

As another poster indicated, a lot depends on LeCosse.
It's true the opening post of a thread is often to get discussion going, it's just not often the case with yours. Usually yours are something akin to War ans Peace that invites rebuttal. is Also if you look at it with fresh eyes the title is "
The Biggest Question Mark On This Board" but there's no question actually asked. It's a good subject and all but personally I enjoy your Patsfans versions of War and Peace, I felt a bit let down.
PS: Had anyone else (other than Ken) posted a thread with that title I too would have expected the thread to be fnord related
