I'm not expecting a Bears writer to get the whole story right - he got the important points across.

Simply that Belichick has a certain type of player he likes at different positions and takes them where they are available, picking for value, which, yes, does mean that Belichick factor in need to his "recipe"... sometimes in heavier portions depending on the circumstances.

This year I'd be shocked if that doesn't lead him to take an OL early.

Taking OL later is wise too - it's paid off for him... just this year there's a bit more need.
