Could this be happening on the American football side? You betcha.

What players will perform much higher than their draft status, do you think?

One name jumps out to me. Cam Skattebo. Teams will probably realize he made more of an impact than where he was drafted.

Like that CB from Iowa the Eagles drafted last year. Cooper DeJean the highest rated CB in the NFL last year? No draft guru saw that happening.

If we knew the correct answer to this question we'd all be GMs (and even then many of them don't know either), but playing along, I'd be most confident in Kevin Winston Jr, Jaylin Noel and maybe Donovan Ezeiruaku fitting the description - in other words, I think they can be future stars at their position belying their draft stock.

I'd like to think Kyle Williams and LeQuint Allen could be too, after all there's a reason they're binkies, but I can also see reasons that might limit their success rate, limitations I don't see with the three listed above.

The obvious ones are Shemar Stewart and Nick Emmanwori of course. When you have record setting athleticism, who knows what the ceiling is?

LeQuint Allen being only 20 years old is something that strongly argues the best us yet to come.
