Tough to win 10 games with an 8 game schedule.

Teams from the first decade and beyond had random numbers of games and were created and folded on the fly. Champions were crowned based on winning percentage and occasional, off the cuff, barely scheduled post-season games. Including these teams in these stats just waters down the reasonable stats that certainly exist since 1960 and probably for 15 or more years prior to that.

There's also a significant difference in winning 10 games with a 16 game schedule (starting in 1978) rather than a 14 game schedule. Much better comparison would be achieving a certain winning percentage each year.

But thanks for the work.

I am happy to see where the Jete has crash landed...thank you
