Since this came up last week I decided to look a little more closely at the entire NYFL. Below is the 1-32 list of all of the teams' % of 10+ win seasons in their history

    Tm / Yrs / 10+ / %
    Dallas 60 29 0.48
    New England 60 27 0.45
    Baltimore 24 10 0.42
    Miami 54 20 0.37
    Balt / Indy 67 24 0.36
    Denver 60 21 0.35
    San Francisco 74 25 0.34
    Kansas City 60 20 0.33
    Minnesota 59 19 0.32
    Oakland 60 19 0.32
    Green Bay 99 29 0.29
    Pittsburgh 87 25 0.29
    Tennessee 60 17 0.28
    Carolina 25 7 0.28
    Philadelphia 87 24 0.28
    Cleveland 71 18 0.25
    LA Rams 83 21 0.25
    Seattle 44 11 0.25
    New Orleans 53 13 0.25
    NY Giants 95 23 0.24
    Jacksonville 25 6 0.24
    Cincinnati 52 12 0.23
    Buffalo 60 13 0.22
    LA Chargers 60 13 0.22
    Washington 88 17 0.19
    Atlanta 54 10 0.19
    NY Jets 60 11 0.18
    Houston 18 3 0.17
    Tampa Bay 44 7 0.16
    Chicago 100 14 0.14
    Detroit 90 10 0.11
    Arizona 100 9 0.09

In case nobody noticed, 6 of the last 9 teams are NFC teams, including the last 4 with 334 years of history combined.

Tough to win 10 games with an 8 game schedule.

Teams from the first decade and beyond had random numbers of games and were created and folded on the fly. Champions were crowned based on winning percentage and occasional, off the cuff, barely scheduled post-season games. Including these teams in these stats just waters down the reasonable stats that certainly exist since 1960 and probably for 15 or more years prior to that.

There's also a significant difference in winning 10 games with a 16 game schedule (starting in 1978) rather than a 14 game schedule. Much better comparison would be achieving a certain winning percentage each year.

But thanks for the work. :)
